                                                                                                                      SMK BANDAR Kerayong in Pahang has impos­ed strict rules prohibiting students from bringing mobile phones to schools, reported China Press.
Those who were found at fault would have their device confiscated and to claim it back, the student’s parent was required to see the teacher with a compulsory RM50 contribution to the school’s parent-teacher association (PTA) development fund.
Repeat offenders would be fined with a RM100 compulsory contribution.
A PTA committee member said the strict ruling was effective in discouraging students from bringing their mobile devices to school, and that they have collected RM1,500 so far.
