KUALA TERENGGANU: A retired father was seriously injured when his son stabbed him in the back after an argument at Kampung Lembah Harapan Seberang Takir, Saturday night.
State Crime Investigation Department Chief ACP K. Manoharan said the 9.30pm incident occurred when the 55-year-old victim had tried to defuse a quarrel between his son and his fiancee, in front of the house.
He said the 22-year-old son became angry when the father stepped in to offer some advise but the son told him (father) not to interfere in their affair.
"The victim later went down to the house compound to advise his son, but instead a quarrel ensued between the two and ended in a tussle. Unhappy and angry with his father's action, the son allegedly attacked the father and stabbed him in the body with what is believed to be a knife.
"The father was rushed to the hospital by other family members," he told reporters on Sunday.
He said the victim who was an army retiree was injured in the back and the sharp object had pierced his lungs as well as his ribs.
Manoharan said the victim was now being treated at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah (HSNZ) Hospital here and reported to be in stable condition.
He said the suspect who was unemployed was detained at about 1.30am while receiving treatment at the same hospital after he was beaten by his siblings who found out about the incident.
Manoharan said during the incident, the victim's wife and daughter were in the house while his 15-year-old daughter realised the father was stabbed.
The suspect who was tested for drugs tested positive for morphine and was now being remanded for two weeks to facilitate investigations under Section 326 of the Penal Code for causing serious injury.
Manoharan said the police were in the process of tracing the weapon used by the son who was the seventh child in a family of 12 children. - Bernama

otak dah sewel baham dadah...
tak bleh ke mat2 pit ni kl yg ada history serang2 mcm ni ditembak sampai kojol je?
sedara laki aku pun ada mcm ni..taik dadah dan samseng sgt2 sampai bapak dia pun hampir mati dia libas dgn pedang samurai.

...
kalau si tunang tu on lagi lepas kes ni mmg gile la pompuan tu..
sepupu laki aku ada sorang mat pit..bini kemain cun...anak dah dua...last week laki aku tepon mak dia cakap kena tangkap lagi..kali ke berapa aku dah lost count..brg2 dalam umah arwah mak dia abis dah licin kena jual..tanah2 reta yg dai dapat tatau la tinggal bape lagi...
susah kalau jenis manusia yg tak kesian kat diri sdri ni..kita berbuih mulut nasihat haram nak dia dgr..aku kesian kat anak2 dia je..comey2..pak mertua dia somebody gak..tatau la berapa lama boleh tahan tgk anak dia berlakikan mat pit yg tak reti nak insap....
