Submarines : Part 1 – U-Boats

This is a collection of WWI era German U-Boats. There may be the odd error in there, I generally tend to save hundreds of random photos that I come across while searching for other subjects in case I need them some day, so I’ve been going through and trying to organise them into folders of different related collections. Sometimes that’s easy, in this case when I’m not a WWI sub expert not so easy as I then have to try and identify which photos are German U-Boats and which are allied boats. So if any are wrong let me know and I’ll move them to the correct collection.

This is part one of a two part collection of WWI allied submarines. I’ve tried to double check these as well as I can to make sure no WWII subs crept in but as I kept no record of where the photos came from other than that I was looking up WWI subjects when I came across them I can’t be 100% certain so if anyone spots one that shouldn’t be there feel free to let me know.

This is part two of a two part collection of WWI allied submarines ( Part three what will be a four part in total collection of WWI Submarine photos ).
