Player Ratings: Racing Santander 0-2 Real Madrid
Racing Santander
To駉 - 6: Caught in two minds for the first goal, but otherwise mostly solid, made himself tough to beat.
Pinillos - 6: A little late in one challenge too many. Allowed Robinho to turn onto his right foot to cross for the first goal, but was otherwise solid.
Morat髇 - 7: A decent showing from the defender, who did his utmost to stifle Raul.
C Nav醩 - 5: Missed two good headed chances from set-pieces before half time. Was okay at the back, but did not mark tightly enough.
Ayoze - 6: Probably afforded Robben a little too much space on the right and didn't get stuck in as much as he should have in the first half, but improved in the second as his side pushed for a result, getting up and down his flank to good effect.
Jorge L髉ez - 6.5: A promising performance full of a fair few good runs, but not quite enough end product; some good set-pieces, some poor ones.
Duscher - 5: Didn't do enough in the opening stages to stamp his authority on the game. Was overwhelmed in midfield and as a result his side were starved of possession. Did okay thereafter, but when it mattered, he was missing.
Colsa - 6.5: Similarly to Duscher, as a duo they did not match Real Madrid's double-pivot of Gago and Diarra. Had a decent chance going forward that he put over the bar. Redeemed himself with some quality set-pieces.
Serrano - 5: Made some good runs, and looked half a threat at times, but was caught shamelessly diving more than once and lucky not to be sent off for doing so. Substituted early in the second half shortly after a dramatic fall.
