MASTER IT

Salam semua,

Nak tanya pendapat, adik saya nak sambung belajar ambik master.  Dia confius samada nak ambik master of information management(MIM) atau master of information security (MIS).  MIM ni taugh course dan research manakala MIS cuma taugh course shj.  Kawan2 dia ramai minta MIS tapi dia ada tanya professor dia kata MIS ni susah.  Adik saya ni tanya pendapat saya, saya tak tahu nak suggest yg mana satu.  Ikut market IT sekarang ni mcm mana? Saya takut salah bagi opinion.

kena tengok minat gak.. since IT bukan mcm engineering, medical, etc. dunia IT sentiasa berubah within few months - frankly n currently, local univ x mampu kejar/utilize latest tech/formula/procedure/etc..

sekiranya minat dlm IT, gie overseas.. europe (kurang sket masalah bahasa). oppurtunity utk stay n keje kat sana pun banyak.. x kira utk MIN atau MIS.

kalau local.. mmm... biz trading ok kot... position utk IT ppl pun x ramai.. unless u hav good cable..

if it were me, i would choose security over management. in the next decade, security will be big (it's already big now) and yet not many people would want to get involve in it (it's hard). online business/communication is only going to get bigger and governments/companies/organizations will need more security personnel/genius to help secure their network. in reality, it's not easy to learn about security, compare to management. security is not only locking up your asset from intruders, but also involve encryption, dechipering, compliance, etc. security is big in the west. malaysia is way behind. anyway, one way or the other, your adik should really base on what s/he really want to do and have the most interest in. if you're muslim, buat solat istikharah.
