What School Lunches Look Like In 20 Countries Around The World
Here are some pictures of school lunches from around the world. Korea clearly wins this one (Japan would have if it wasn’t for that spaghetti).

1. Japan

Rice and fish make up the bulk of the menu, but some days students are treated to the kind of East-West comfort food. Source. Picture via.

Udon, cheese-stuffed chikuwa (fish sausage), frozen Mandarin orange, and milk.

2. Korea


Most school cafeterias in Korea use sectioned metal trays and there’s a standard way of filling them up. The two biggest sections are for rice, usually served with pickled vegetable kimchi and soup. Smaller compartments there’s usually three of themhold side dishes of vegetables and fish. As for the beverage, kids are given little plastic bottles of sweet yogurt drink, hugely popular in Korea.


Mixed grains and rice, stinky bean stew, mixed and fried chicken and vegetables, simmered seaweed a.k.a. steamed green beans, and cabbage kimchi.

School lunches are taken just as seriously as meals for adults. In fact, kids are served pretty much the same things adults eat.

yg us punya mcm x menarik je aku tgk.. apa pun, masa kat uk dulu, aku gi sekolah bawa crisps, coklat n sandwich je.. pas tu gi mkn kat tepi pdg sekolah... best coz sekolah aku atas bukit.. view mmg best giler!! xde maknanya nak mkn kat kafe sekolah...

xde nya mimpi nak spagetti ka ngarut2 mcm di atas sanun.. burger pon kempis jek.. xde sayur.. daging cut 1/2

Tambah lg fillet ikan yg petak tu.air sirap,oren..xdanya dpt air susu.kalo RMT adalah dpt susu.tp sbb xbduit sgt aku bnyak mkn kopok leko dgn sambal je.
