Need your opinion

hi all, need your opinion! im nw thinking to buy a 4G LTE portable WiFi which costs me around RM400 currently, OR just get a smartphone at similar price which support 4G, like Galaxy Ace 3 which can turn to be hotspot also about RM400++. will u guys consider to get Galaxy Ace 3 instead of 4G LTE portable wifi? is there any difference between them in term of speed and internet performance? pls gv me some opinion, im really in dilemma.

ha phone yg ada LTE, dan boleh tethering dah ok... kalau uols guna hanya utk light2 eg buka facebook semer tu, tethering dah sgt ok dah, tp kalau uols buat java coding n nak kena bergithub semer tu, pakai la portable wifi. apa kata uols pinjam kawan2 yg ada phone LTE try buat experiment dulu.


alang2 beli 400++, kalau uols tunggu sebulan dua, beli je LTE phone yg powerful sikit, eg, moto g LTE. kalau nak power lg, amik note 2 LTE. zf5 yg LTE pun ok bg akak.

Yang penting, check coverage telco ada tak, n stable tak connection tu.

i think use smartphone as a router not a good choice.
it will burn a lot of energy and the speed is slower.
i used to share my hotspot with my smartphone,end up the battery finish utilize very fast.
use hotspot also will heat up the phone,sometime the whole phone really very hot.
this will damage the phone and battery if use for long term.

if you give me to choose, i wont pick wireless broadband as it really very terrible..the connection is slow, sometimes slow until the line will be disconnected..i buy wifi is because i wan play online game no matter where i am but it unable to support and keeps disconnected..really frustated about that...coverage also very bad....conclusion is unable to suit my requirememt at all...................

I don’t think every broadband  wifi got same problem.luckyhum,what broadband are you used? because my bro are using celcom porta wifi, he told me to get 1 as well.he said the coverage is very strong and the internet connection is fast and hardly failure.i also think to get myself 1 as this porta wifi is very convenient and can bring around anywhere.and the connection is really strong,even with 10

werhna, Very simple. If you are required to connect few devices to your broadband at the same point of time, then you better choose portawifi as it can performs better than using smartphone as routers. However, if you seldom use it as broadband and more spend time on making calls, then smartphone is your cup of tea. Because if you use smartphone as router, it will totally hurt your battery and smartphone life. Just try it if you not believe. -)
So the conclusion is it depends on the usage.

im working working at the same place only, need to go outstation always, so coverage is very important! and i need to connect few devices at the same time, my laptop, hp, and tab. i tried to use hotspot before but my hp battery run out very quick! so i dont like to use hotspot. i saw quite a few reviews say that broadband is kinda slow dan unstable ler. so just wondering if there is any promo now? if the price is cheap then can consider lah cause i kinda need it. lol

I am using celcom portable wifi now,i sign a package with 4GB data and pay RM48 monthly.
You can get yourself 1 now,celcom having a good promo,when sign up a basic plan,you can get a portable wifi device with pay RM50 only,this is so worth! Beside,you can bring the portable wifi around with you,you can online smoothly even at outside. just visit the website for more info.

Device lah. Klu jdkan hp sbg hotspot, hp cpt pns. Hehehe
