Barcelona's Puyol: Real Madrid won't win all four

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol is convinced Real Madrid won't win their remaining four games and take the championship away from the Nou Camp.
Barca surrendered the Liga leadership to Real after stumbling to a 1-1 draw with Real Betis last night, but Puyol was defiant in the post-match: "Four games are left and each one is very difficult.

"I can't see Madrid winning all four. Each game is a final and we hope Madrid slip up just as they hoped we would.

"We're creating chances, but not getting that second goal - which is what happened today.

"The players are grateful to the fans. They have continued to be supportive. I know they're unhappy, but there's still four games left and a lot can happen.

"We must stay together, keep our heads up and fight to the end.

Guti fears Barca backlash

Real Madrid midfielder Guti has said that he does not think Barcelona are in a crisis and that they will bounce back against Atletico.

Barca have thrown away a sizeable lead at the summit of La Liga while Fabio Capello has turned Real's fortunes around following a difficult start to the season after taking the helm of a club riddled with ill-discipline and warring factions in the summer.

Last weekend highlighted the turn of the tide, Real fighting back from 3-1 down to get a last minute winner against Espanyol, while Barca dominated Betis but could not convert their chances and conceded a late equaliser. The result meant that Madrid have gone top of the Primera Division on the head-to-head rule, with many saying that they will now wrap up the title.

But Guti thinks their rivals have been dealt a flesh wound and that they will show their true colours in the four-game title run-in.

"Barcelona have only been clipped," he said. "They need a result good to bring back their self-belief".

Barcelona travel to Real's city rivals, Atletico, at the weekend and Guti thinks they will return to form at the Vicente Calderon.

"There is no better scene than the Calderon for them to get out of this mini-crisis," he continued.

"They are a great team and they will rise above all this to fight for La Liga until the final day of the season."

Pele insists Barcelona can beat Real Madrid for title

Pele insists Barcelona can beat Real Madrid for this season's Primera Liga title.

Despite Barca's current struggles, Pele declared: "For me, Barcelona are the best team, without a doubt. It is difficult to predict, but I believe Barcelona has the best chance of winning (the title).

"If we compare the two teams over the season, Barca have been more organised, while Real have had the greater problems. That's why Barca have the better chance of winning."

Pele also backed Ronaldinho to recapture his best form.

"The problem is that people forget that even the greatest players, just like the great teams, are going to have bad times, good times and the best times.

"Ronaldinho remains a great player in good form and with great technique."
