Barcelona And AC Milan Fighting For Abidal
Abidal has made his desire to move to a bigger league and a bigger team very clear, and the French international is set to speak with Olympique Lyonnaise president Aulas about this burning desire of his.
As of now, there are two clubs that are first in line for the player: FC Barcelona and AC Milan.
Both clubs have long shown interest in signing the left back.
However, the situation has become rather trickly, with Lyon raising the stakes to the 20 million euro mark, hoping to spark off an auction.
Reports in Spain indicate that neither Barcelona nor AC Milan are willing to pay that sum to Olympique Lyonnaise in order to purchase the player.
Abidal's agent and club representatives of Barca, Milan and Lyon are soon set to meet (in pairs), to discuss the issue, and arrive at a more agreeable price.
Barcelona are said to be unwilling to go over 12 million.

Eto'o Calls For Barcelona Pride
Samuel Eto'o has called for FC Barcelona to show some pride against Getafe this weekend and to prove that the hefty cup defeat was just a one-off.
The Cameroonian striker knows how important each league game is from now on and believes that Bar鏰 need to show, once again, how good they really are.
In the Copa del Rey, the Blaugrana saw a three-goal first-leg lead whittled away by Getafe in the second encounter.
Frank Rijkaard's side bounced back to form last weekend as they hammered Atl閠ico de Madrid and Eto'o hopes that they can reproduce that form this weekend.
"people have to go out with pride against Getafe," he said. "You won because you were better, but we will show you now that anyone can have a bad day."
Eto'o thinks that there is only one thing that Bar鏰 do if they want to win the championship for third consecutive time this term.
"We have to just keep working away," he stated.
The Catalan outfit have received a blow after it was revealed that Rafael M醨quez has been ruled out for a further two weeks with a leg injury.
Instead of the muscle recovering, club medics have discovered another slight tear and have stated that he will now be sidelined for a fortnight.
M醨quez last appeared in the first leg victory over Getafe in mid-April and has missed six games since then.
