i have all of mccourt's books and james joyce's dubliners mmg classic!!! i never read a book twice but i read dubliners dah 3 kali. seronok!

Zaman budak2/sekolah- suka baca siri "The naughtiest girl in school"(mmg best),
Zaman remaja/kat u- Danielle steel (rasa macam sedih jer baca)
Zaman dewasa muda/mula2 keje - John Grisham (best tapi lama2 muhsan sbb mcm blh predict ending - hero nyorokkan diri kat oberseas ngan duit) & Sidney Sheldon( nih best sbb banyak variation citer)
Skrg- Dah lama tak baca novel english. Novel melayu pun pinjam adik jer. Kecuali buku Ramlee Awang Murshid mmg tak miss beli.

esp himpunan short stories dia, arranged marriage.
kebanyakan indian atau indian american punye style menulis memang aku suka.
i mean, u can feel the emotions of the stories.

atau mitch albom nyer buku. nak nak buku for one more day. it just make me thinking a lot about death and loss.

lepas tu baru start baca citer2 serius macam John Grisham nyer buku..ni memang fav author aku..

tapi masih baca lagi apa2 buku citer as long as bagus dan menarik pada aku lah..

I meant to read this when it was in the Oprah's Book Club, but never got to it. How was it? In terms of gripping you to read it from start to finish?

How was the incestuous relationship portrayed? Was it an erotic, beautiful, or a messed-up one?

that *is* a weird way of choosing books to read. i personally - would only read the books *after* the movie was released,

like LOTR, i only read the whole trilogy after FotR. [BUT, i've read The Silmarillion EVEN before FotR was released, and before everyone was going ga-ga over the whole LOTR movie. I found The Silmarillion years before cause I happen to like the fantasy genre]

i like to make comparison between the book and the movie. usually i'll check the cast and then i can picture them in scenes from the book. so in a way mcm own version of movie with the announced cast without the edit. what i hate about the movie adaptation from book is that certain important scences are cut out.
