Aamir Khan's security men abused journalists at Panchgani!

Aamir Khan's security men manhandled media persons, who went to cover the wedding reception of the Bollywood actor at Panchgani on Thursday.
At least six journalists, including some female reporters, were abused and pushed by around 15 security personnel. A camera belonging to a private television channel photographer fell down in the process.
The local police who were put on security duty near the reception venue at II Palazzo hotel refused to intervene. However, a traffic policeman made an attempt to pacify the overzealous private security men, but in vain.
Four security personnel from a private agency of actor Ronit Roy were standing guard at the beginning of the lane leading to the hotel where the reception was held. They rejected the request of the 25-member-strong media contingent to let them go up to the gate only and not inside the hotel.
Tempers ran high when the security personnel refused the request. A team of seven to eight security men charged at the journalists and started pushing them. Soon there was total chaos. The security men abused and threatened the journalists, saying that "Tum Bahar milo, hum dekhte hai kisme dum hai

Close on the heals of the Esha Deol-Amrita Rao fracas comes the rumour that Divya Dutta and Ayesha Juhlka have had an argument on the set of J. P. Dutta's film 'Umraao Jaan'. However, Divya, being the professional that she is, refuses to add fuel to the fire by giving details of the altercation. However she does admit that on the sets of such a huge film, actors who work together are bound to step on each other's toes. But what is important, she says, is that the air should be cleared by the time the day's pack up is announced. And that she adds is exactly what happened with her, and she requests the rumourmongers not to make a big story out of this. We have obliged her. Right!

"I have no rivalry with Aishwarya," Priyanka!

Priyanka doesn't like to be told about a competition between Aishwarya Rai and herself. She feels tired of reiterating this that she has no competition or rivalry with Aishwarya Rai. "Ash is a wonderful artist of our industry. She has earned glory in the world for our country. I respect her very much though we haven't yet become friends. " Would you like to be cast with her in future? "Yes, sure. Why not? I shall be very happy to be cast with her," she quipped.
Priyanka has no even regrets over her replacement with Aishwarya for J.P. Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan'. "I am very glad that Ash will play 'Umrao Jaan'. She is the ablest actor for playing this character," said Priyanka. Priyanka also denies having replaced Ash in Rohan Sippy's 'Bluffmaster' as reported in the media frequently. " I don't think I replaced her because I didn't know that she was offered the role first. Ash is a smart and great actress and I respect her a lot."

Conspiracy behind Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage rumour?

When Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage rumour was on high, family circles of both -Abhishek and Aishwarya remained quiet over these reports; as per some close friends of the Bachchan family, Amitabh or his family members haven't consulted any astrologer or shown Abhishek's horoscope to the reported Bangalore based astrologer about junior B's marriage with Ash. According to them, these rumours have not been spread by vested interests and they are finding sheer conspiracy behind it. If them to be believed, it's all doing is Amitabh Bachchan's younger brother Ajitabh who has been keeping a long distance from the Big B family for some years. These circles also alleged that the reported relationships of Abhishek with Rani Mukherji or Dipannita Sharma in the recent past have also been spread by these anti-Amitabh circles.

Priyanka to replace Kareena?

Kareena Kapoor opted out of sci-fi flick 'Love Story 2050' because of the same 'dates problem'. Kareena was also paid an amount of Rs. 3 crores for the film. However Kareena, in a recent meet, divulged her helplessness allotting required dates for the film. It needs her bulk dates, which is mere impossible, as she was now busy with Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Omkara' and Farhan Akhtar's 'Don'.
Now who will step in Kareena's shoes? It's a million dollar question now roaming around. However if rumour to be believed, it's none but Kareena's newfound girlfriend Priyanka Chopra will be signed up. Priyanka will play opposite Harman Baweja. Sources said, for Harman, Priyanka will not have dates problem. What?

Aishwarya for 'Love Story 2050'?

Harry Baweja is planning a grand launch for his son Harman Baweja. The Bawejas are now putting all other wok aside and are concentrating on their sci-fi film titled 'Love Story 2050'. "It's a movie which will blow you away. I have all the resources at my disposal to make it a grand affair," says Harry and refused to divulge further details about his dream project. However close sources revealed that speculations over the selection of leading lady opposite Harman soon to come down as Bawejas have already approached Aishwarya after Priyanka got dropped and Kareena opted out of the project. Bawejas are very upbeat about getting Aishwarya's nod. We wish Mr. Baweja all the best on his venture.

Hrithik Roshan is certainly gaining the reputation of a perfectionist. The actor is currently preparing for his role in Dhoom 2. There will be a sequence in the film which will showcase his new found talent, roller blading. He is being taught by the expert, Jatin Sanghvi. It has been a good 23 days since he started.

The American movie and music star is in India for a week to launch Sony Entertainment's new English language movie channel, Pix, and make a guest appearance on Indian Idol, India抯 version of the US hit, according to a media report.

"I would do anything that Aishwarya Rai will be part of," he said. "I love her so," added Smith of the gorgeous former Miss World.

But it抯 not only Ash that Smith likes about India. He also says he's keen to see the Taj Mahal on his first trip to India.

"Just recently I got to know the number of films Bollywood makes a year-a whopping 800. And each with its share of song, music, dance and drama," he was quoted as saying.

Q: You seem to have got yourself into a bit of a jam over your dog's names?
Trouble卼hat's me! Wherever I go I'm followed by trouble. I can't understand why I'm always singled out for controversies! This latest one just takes my breath away. Because it's so false and so malicious and ugly.

Q: You mean you haven't named your canine Mustafa?
I don't have a dog, let alone a dog by that name. Am I mad to do such a ugly and sacrilgeous thing? I come from a family where we were taught to love and respect every community and religion. Disrespecting another humanbeing , let alone another person's religion or culture, is alien to me. I'm a Hindu and a Nepali by birth. But I'm as Indian as anyone else in this country. And I believe in all the secular values that Indian democracy is famous for.

Q: But where and how did this story come from?
Listen I may be crazy. But not that crazy. I'd never call my dog by that name. When I read this hideous error in the paper I laughed it off, thinking it was just a printing error. I had gone for an election campaign to Nepal. And my mind was totally focused on that. I came back to Mumbai. And I had this huge problem waiting for me. The police inspector came home to see if I had dogs staying with me. I haven't had any dogs staying in my home for two years.

Q: You actually had the cops inspecting your home?
Not just once, but twice. There is a police officer staying in my building who had already informed the cops that I had no dogs in my home for two years, and the ones that I had were named Tanya and Tweety.

Q: Tanya and Tweety???
That's what they were called. And that was two years ago.How the names got changed in print is beyond me. I don't understand why this trivial story has been made into such a massive problem. Even the person who wrote it must have thought it's just one of those easy-come-easy-go stories that are forgotten the day after publication.

Q: It seems someone is trying to cash in on your name by proving you non-secular?
That's how it seems. I've never had any problem with any individual or community. I believe the newspaper and the writer who wrote the story have clarified. But there's a lot of trouble now. I thought the problem was sorted out after the cops checked I had no dogs at home.

Two days ago a designer-friend of mine Shahid Amir who lives closeby and who's a pet lover like me, wanted to know if I had named my dog by a particular name. He also told me that people from a sensitive Muslim area in Mumbai were coming to my house to ransack it. I asked Shahid if as close friend, he thought that I was stupid enough to do such a thing.

Q: You sound very upset.
I am! If one section of the Muslims believe I'm capable of such stupidity why not the rest? It's scary. But I'm being hounded for something I've never done .

The thing his co-stars have been talking about is John dancing. "I told the choreographer he would tear his hair trying to make Nana and me dance. He took up the challenge but, by the first afternoon, he was really frustrated. Neither Nana nor I are great dancers. Nana eventually took on part of the choreography, telling me how to dance. Sameera is an outstanding dancer. I had to perform with her in the song Ek Nazar and it was like the North and South poles dancing together. I have 25 left feet. But we managed. When you see the final song, you won't notice what we went through on the sets."

In this Friday抯 release Humko Tumse Pyaar Hai , Amisha plays a blind girl with a gift for artistic creativity. The movie has Arjun Rampal and Bobby Deol playing two men in her life.

The movie has Amisha playing Durga, a blind Rajasthani village girl who is very artistically skilled at making clay statues. Arjun Rampal plays Rohit, a handsome young man who works for a fertilizer company and is deeply impressed by Durga抯 talent and natural beauty.

As the movie抯 story goes, Durga and Rohit fall in love. Rohit takes her to the city for an eye operation that will bring back Durga抯 sight. While Durga regains her eyesight, Rohit is killed in a fight with a village goon who wanted to satisfy his lust on Durga.

Shattered at the death of her man, Durga goes into depression. It is then the doc who performed her operation takes Durga to Switzerland where she meets Raj (Bobby Deol).

Raj is smitten with Durga at first sight, but she rebuffs his romantic advances. She still has not been able to come to terms with the loss of Rohit.

As time goes by, Raj tells Durga that Rohit was his friend too and he mourns his death no less than she does. Gradually, Durga begins to mellow down. She agrees to marry Raj.

When the wedding preparations are in full swing, comes a bolt out of the blue. Raj discovers that Rohit is alive. What happens next is the crux of the story.

Aamir Khan may have recently tied the knot with Kiran Rao, who assisted Ashutosh Gowarikar for Lagaan and Swades, however being the ever perfectionist and professional that he is, he has turned down a script written by his wife.

Kiran Rao is slated to make her directorial debut with an Aamir Khan produced film and in all probability; she will want her talented actor husband to play the lead in the film too. Unfortunately, she will now have to write another script to convince her actor husband to make it for her.

Currently the actor and his wife are in Poland taking a honeymoon cum business trip. Aamir will be shooting for Kunal Kohli抯 film, Fanaah over there. Aamir s dedication and professionalism is evident in the fact that the actor shot for Fannah until December 26 right before he got married to Kiran on December 28 and resumed shooting for the same film on January 3. He has not taken a break since then and as usual given his hundred percent to his film on hand. It is no wonder then that he has received loads of praises for several of his performances.

If Aamir khan is in the news for his performances, the other reigning Khan of bollywood cannot be far behind. Shah Rukh khan and Ram Gopal Varma will definitely be doing a film together. The filmmaker recently met Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Karan Johar抯 film to dicuss the project.

However, the film is not Ram Gopal Varma Ka Sholay, talks are still on and details have to be fine-tuned. The director has wanted to work with Shah Rukh for quite some time now; in fact, he wanted Shah Rukh to play Gabbar and also had him in mind for his earlier film Company. However, things did not work out earlier.

Shah Rukh will also be doing Shimit Amin抯 film, the latter has worked as Varma抯 assistant and has also directed Ab Tak Chhappan for him. Let抯 hope we get to see something extraordinary from this dynamic duo.
