Cha Tae Hyun and Uee Confirmed as Leads for Upcoming Drama “Jeon Woo Chi”
Actor Cha Tae Hyun and After School member Uee have been cast as the leads in KBS drama “Jeon Woo Chi.”
After three years away from television, apart from his weekly stint on KBS variety/reality program “1N2D: Season 2,” Cha Tae Hyun will be making his comeback with upcoming drama “Jeon Woo Chi.” Drama “Jeon Woo Chi” will be Uee’s next acting project after her role as Baek Ja Eun in 2011-2012 KBS drama “Ojakgyo Brothers.” According to broadcasting representatives, Cha Tae Hyun and Uee have entered serious preparation for their male and female lead roles.
Cha Tae Hyun will be playing the titular role of Jeon Woo Chi who gains Taoist magic powers by swallowing a Gumiho’s marble and aids the people of the kingdom.
Uee will be playing the role of Hong Mu Yeon who is a princess, the granddaughter of Hong Gil Dong, and the love interest of Jeon Woo Chi.
“Jeon Woo Chi” is a remake of 2009 fantasy action movie “Jeon Woo Chi” which starred Kang Dong Won, Kim Yoon Seok, and Im Soo Jung.
Lee Su Geun, Kim Byung Man Join Kang Ho Dong at SM C&C
SM C&C has made additions to its already potent star roster.
On September 19, SM C&C announced it had officially signed on Lee Su Geun and Kim Byung Man saying, “We have signed on Lee Su Geun and Kim Byung Man who are enjoying top popularity through programs such as The Laws of the Jungle and 1 Night, 2 Days.
The agency detailed out its plans with the addition of the two stars saying, “By signing on Kim Byung Man and Lee Su Geun, SM C&C will create a systematic and global management platform to become not only entertainers in Korea but Asia as well.”
Through their agency, the two stars expressed their positive sentiments saying, “Through SM C&C we believe we will be able to provide more delight [to the public] through its systematic management and deeper and wider activities.”
Kim Byung Man and Lee Su Geun have now not only joined SM C&C’s recently-signed Kang Ho Dong and Shin Dong Yeop but also the stars of AM Entertainment, including Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ha Neul, Han Ji Min and more, through the recent SM C&C and AM Entertainment merger.
