Instructions
Step 1: Do you exhibit the traits of a tortured soul?
Incase you are totally oblivious to the Twilight-phenomena, girls and women of all ages (and some men as well!) all over the planet find themselves swooning and hopelessly pining away for the main fictional character in author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series of novels (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn)...the 17 year old small-town vampire named Edward Cullen. As luck would have it, with a little understanding of what your wife, girlfriend or partner sees and wants in this blood-thirsty being; (and a little 're-training' of yourself) YOU can be her real life Edward Cullen--in the flesh! In Twilight, Edward Cullen is a tortured soul. By the sheer nature of being the vampire that he is he is drawn to the heroine of the story, Bella Swan , by the sheer desire the scent of her blood has for him. He has to constantly battle his instincts with his feelings so that he does not kill her through accident, hunger (or thirst as the case may be), or reckless passion. His thoughts constantly whirlpool around what HE wants opposed to what he wants for HER and what is good for HER and what sacrifices HE must make to ensure her safety, her happiness, and her trust in him and his love for her. Do you possess a 'tortured soul' for your wife or girlfriend? Do you constantly battle with your own thoughts and desires and tell yourself that what YOU want is less important than what SHE wants? Do you think of her, her safety, her happiness and her feelings before you think of your own? and if you DO, do you SHOW it? (Do you pick the TV shows at night? Do you choose the restaurant that you go out to? Do you pick the movie at the theatre? Do you spend money on things that YOU think money should be spent on or things that YOU want? Do you invest more time talking to your buddies than you do to your wife/girlfriend?)--these are just a few questions...Edward Cullen puts Bella Swan first always; or at least tries to. Do you do the same for your lover or mate?
Step 2: Is your lover the center of your universe??
Throughout the Twilight saga, Edward Cullen is continuously thinking of Bella Swan and the depth of his feelings for her. He is fascinated by everything she does, the thoughts she has, the way she breathes...even the way that she stands perfectly still does not fail to impress or excite him. Have you ever been so focused on YOUR lover, wife or mate that you fail to see the rest of the world around you? Do you let her know that you are so IN LOVE with her and her alone that it is as if no other women exist on the planet for you besides HER and without her presence in your life; you could no longer find meaning in the world? That is the devotion that Edward Cullen conveys to the reader regarding his feelings toward his love, Bella Swan. Do you routinely let your wife/lover/girlfriend know that you only have eyes for HER and could care less about your good looking neighbor or the bikini clad girls at the beach? That your world centers and revolves around HER existence and happiness...how many men are that devoted??...Edward Cullen is.
Step 3: NIX the XXX star mentality!
The kiss scene between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan is erotically suspenseful in an endearing way...the hesitation that both feel, the edge of danger that is evident, the raw attraction and the tenderness..all wrapped up into one 3 minute scene. THAT'S the scene that every Edward Cullen loving woman or person replays in their head over and over...so try to be seductively tender with your lover. Be excruciatingly slooowwww.....take your time to really recognize everything about your partner and make them LONG for YOU. Make them want to be touched and kissed---SLLOOOWWWW DOOOOWWWWNNNN....women want Edward Cullen, not a porn star. Faster may be great for YOU; but she'll be lying if she says its great for her! Watch Twilight...take notes of the kiss scene...watch your partner or lover DURING that scene and see who she wants! Someone from a XXX movie or that gorgeous vampire trying to restrain himself on Twilight!
Step 4: Be a gentleman??
A gentleman? What's that?!...Edward Cullen is a modern-day vampire with an old soul. He is a gentleman who tries very hard to treat a lady like a lady. So try to 'remember' what being a gentleman entails. Open doors for your partner/wife/girlfriend, pay for the meal without wondering if you'll get 1/2 of it back later, ask permission to touch or caress or kiss...don't burp or display OTHER vulgar bodily functions in front of her if you can help it!...be respectful of other people (i.e. NOT a jerk to the waiter)...ask her what SHE prefers to do or eat...and always thank her for her time, company and affection. Courtesy NEVER goes out of style and neither does chivalry. (Look up the terms if you have forgotten what they mean.)
Step 5: Be in style, well groomed, and smell yummy!
Edward Cullen is described as being 'inhumanly beautiful'. Gorgeous from head to toe--inside and out. How often do you look into the mirror now a days? Maybe when you were first in your relationship you really made an effort to dress well for dates, smell nice, 'gel or fix' your hair into some semblance of style...you took care of your body and could actually see your toes...and now you're comfortable and 'things' like that don't really matter too much anymore. You wear old jeans the majority of the time...hardly ever wear cologne...shave only if you have to...and you wear an XL now opposed to the Medium you once wore. That's great. People age. People change. No one can deny that. You don't have to have a perfect body to be like Edward Cullen (although it DOES help...)--but you do have to care about how you present yourself. Try to manage getting back into grooming habits again...your lover will notice if you start wearing cologne again, trust me!...style your hair; wear a nice dress shirt with some jeans rather than an old T-Shirt...appearances matter. Women want a lover that they like to look at...so be as beautiful as you can be (without fangs)
Step 6: Be her bad boy every now and then!
Edward Cullen is a gentleman, tenderly romantic, semi-old fashioned, honorable and loyal...he is, for all intensive purposes, a perfect guy; yet, there is also an element of mystery and danger about his character; a tinge of rebellion and a willful spontaneity that women go weak in the knees for...he is the perfect balance between what women need and what women WANT. SO, to be like Edward Cullen; a man must be the poster child for 'the perfect father and the world's most wonderful husband/lover' but also the renegade, the 'bad boy' that serves her with the element of surprise and devilish delight.
