Givemefootball.com: Reds eye Tranmere defender

Highly-rated Tranmere defender Danny Holmes is attracting interest from a host of top clubs, with Liverpool and Celtic leading the race for his signature, according to Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old full-back - who is out of contract this summer - has turned in a series of impressive performances in League One this season, causing his agent, Jonathan Hope, to tip his client for a move to a bigger club.

"I am currently exploring options for Danny," he told skysports.com. "Tranmere Rovers wouldn't stand in his way to step up a level to improve his career as he has been having an absolute cracking season and thanks has to go to them for that.

"I had a call from Glasgow Celtic in regards to Danny's availability and Liverpool have not ruled out a move for the youngster."

Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is known to be in the market for bright young talent, and Holmes fits the bill in terms of prospective targets that Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli wants to lure to Anfield.

However, the club may miss out on the opportunity to land him without the guarantee of regular first-team football, putting Celtic manager Neil Lennon in the driving seat when it comes to negotiations over a potential move to Parkhead.

"I have to be realistic and put Danny at the right level so he is guaranteed game time," Hope continued. "There is no point in putting him up in the Premier League when he is still developing.

"Danny Holmes will eventually play in the Premier League, as he is developing at a very fast rate through true professionalism. He has supported Tranmere all his life but I don't believe the fans would complain about a boy furthering his career."

Liverpool Plan Surprise Move for Wolves Striker

Anfield side set sights on Molineux man.

Liverpool are monitoring Wolves striker Steven Fletcher.

The Scot could be on his way this summer should Wolves fail to beat the drop.

Sunderland and Liverpool are watching Fletcher’s situation closely leading up to the summer market.

Whilst Liverpool may be struggling for goals, 36 from 31 Premier League matches, it would still perhaps be something of a mistake to make a move for Wolves forward Steven Fletcher who may well be enjoying a good patch of form but is probably not a player who is good enough to lead the line for a club with top four/six ambitions.

The 25 year old Scottish international has done well this term, notching up 10 goals this term for a side that is likely to make the drop to the Championship, but a move to Liverpool may well be a step to far for the former Hibernian man.

Kenny Dalglish continues to show faith in Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll but could well do with alternative options to keep the pair on their toes, preferably younger options than Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy, one would have to question if Fletcher is a step forwards in that regard.

Liverpool to Launch Bid for Real Madrid Defender

Anfield side keen on Spanish international.

Liverpool ‘ready to enter Raul Albiol transfer race’

Raul Albiol could be on his way to the Premier League in the summer transfer window after it emerged both Liverpool and Manchester City are interested in him.

The defender has struggled to hold down a first-team place since joining Real Madrid from Valencia in 2009 and looks certain to move on at the end of the season.

Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have already indicated they are keen to land the 26-year-old, but they will face competition from major clubs across Europe, including City and Liverpool.

Whilst the main focus of concern for Kenny Dalglish may stem from the lack of cutting edge up front that doesn’t mean that the Scot is necessary happy with his back-line and hence a move for Real Madrid squad player Raul Albiol would be a wise one to consider.

With Daniel Agger continuing to struggle with persistent injuries and Jamie Carragher clearly coming towards the end of his lengthy Liverpool career there may well be room, and a need, for Dalglish to consider a move for the Spanish international.

Jose Mourinho appears to have little use for the former Valencia man, who has started just six of Real Madrid’s 47 games in all competitions this term.

Real Madrid paid £12m for Albiol back in 2009 but may well accept a far smaller fee as Mourinho looks to trim his squad ahead of UEFA’s FPP (Financial Fair Play) guidelines that are due to come in to force.

Albiol has amassed a total of over 300 top tier appearances in Spain and has 31 national team caps and at 26 still has the ability to deliver on his obvious potential and perhaps he will look to do so with the Merseyside club?

apa masalah dgn penyokong2 Liverpool?

ironiknya Man Utd saja yg sibuk blabbering about other teams.

dlm konteks anda penyokong tu harusnya bersifat bagaimana?

ideologi dan pendapat yg bagaimana?

tolonglah jgn jumud sgt minda tu.

tiada alasan yg logik bagi seseorg itu utk support mana2 team hatta Shrewsburry Town sekalipun. ianya romantisme yg subjective.
