sorry, memang tak tau langsung pasal menda2 nih, memandangkan ada perancangan nak bli laptop. tulip nak tanyalah :
1. kalo nak guna internet tuk laptop tapi tak wayerless. ada tak?
2. brand apa?
3. price?
kalo soklan ni merapu jek sori lah ek ..

Celeron-M tak worth.....
Sekarang kalau nak beli laptop yg power saving, cari yg pakai Pentium-M, Sempron atau Turion64, semua ni ada power saving mode (automatic lower clockspeed bila idle atau cpu load rendah).
Pentium-M ada Speedstep, Sempron/Turion ada Cool n Quiet.
Celeron-M actually adalah Pentium-M dengan 3/4 L2 cache disabled dan tak support Intel SpeedStep. |

actually, celeron-M power pun boleh turn down. contohnya, laptop bapa aku pakai Celeron M. Ada 4 speed steps, kalau yg lowest speed dia lebih kurang cam Celeron 600 yg dulu. Kalau yg paling laju, speed dia lebih kurang cam Pentium 4 2Ghz yg lama. laju aper.
And it's not 3/4 cache disabled, just half. Celeron M punya L2 cache ialah 1MB, Pentium M pulak 2MB. Sebenarnya, Celeron M mmg worth it kalau budget. Sebab Celeron spesies laptop baru ni bukan cam Celeron desktop dulu yg mmg slow giler. Aku leh main game 3D okay je kat laptop celeron bapa aku. Of course graphic card nya ATi la. |

This Celeron (sold under the Celeron M brand) is based on the Pentium M, and differs from its parent in that it has half the L2 cache, and does not support the clock-varying SpeedStep technology. It performs reasonably well compared to the Pentium M, but battery life is noticeably shorter on a Celeron M朾ased notebook than it is on a comparable Pentium M notebook.
The Celeron M processor is not considered to be part of the Centrino platform, regardless of what chipset and Wi-Fi components are used.

A 90nm Celeron M with half of the L2 cache of the 90 nm (Dothan) Pentium Ms (twice the L2 cache of the 130nm Celeron Ms, though), and, like its predecessor, lacking SpeedStep.

Shelton (aka Banias-0)
The Shelton core is a Banias core without any L2 cache, and without SpeedStep. It is used in Intel's small form factor D845GVSH motherboard, intended for Asian and South American markets. The processor identifies itself as a "Intel Celeron 1.0B GHz", to differentiate it from the previous Coppermine-128 and "Tualeron" 1.0 GHz processors.

yep mmg ada speed step. aku tatau la pasal apa yg ko paste tu kata takde but yg nyata dan sahih depan mata aku sendiri mmg ada speedstep. mungkin bukan full features kot? dan nama dia mungkin panggil benda lain campowersaving ke apa tapi mmg confirm boleh pelahankan dlm utilities. klu aku pelahankan mmg kipas dia tak bnyk gerak dan tak panas sgt. pastu nak rip dvd pun sampai 5 jam dia punya estimate time. kalau aku set kat highest setting (ada emapt step) mmg laju, kurang sejam habis rip dvd yg 4 jam citer nya. pastu8 boleh main game etc.
aku check dgn benchmark pun confirm celeron M ni laju gak...okay per, utk yg budget. kelajuannya setaraf klu tak melebihi desktop AMD Athlon 1800+ aku pada speed yg paling laju. aku sebelum ni mmg pantang nak tgk celeron, skrg, notebook ni mmg buat aku tukar pandangan terhadap celeron M, tapi M model ya, bukan desktop model. yg tu masih tak worth it. |

oh aku rasa aku paham sekarang, speed step ni dia automatic pandai adjust sendiri bergantung pada apa yg kita tgh buat. tapi klu takde speedstep maknanya kita sendiri kena set kot. rasanya cam tu lah. |

Stakat aku tau , takde lagi.. rata2 sume berat 2.5kilo keatas.. kalau nak budget duit.. beli la ACER. Tapi aku tak rekomen acer yang pakai processor sempron. Kalau nak slim& ringan carik Fujitsu.. Tp mahal berganda. |
