rombongan sekolah penah,
pergi sendiri penah,
ngan mak bapak pon penah.
Dolu-dolu dlm KL mana ada tempat yg letak dinasour besaq camni. |

wah.. best2.. ni la tempat dimana ayah n mama me selalu bwk kitoranga dik beradik tau.. kerap jugak la.. paling suke tgk ayah sliding kat papan yg terpanjang tuh,,
tp sume tggal kenangan je.. sedih gak la...
kene saman 1 juta dgn kerajaan selangor? patut la terus tutup.. cian la.. |

wahh!! aku selalu ingat psl mimaland walaupun dah lama tempat tu berkubur
aku pernah gi family day TM dgn famili aku kat situ dlm tahun 90an
memang takde yg sehebat mimaland le waktu tu 
bila tgk gambar water slide tu, teringat pengalaman aku main benda tu...punya le takut, kot2 tenggelam tak timbul2

tapi dulu penah nampak album gamba bapak meow dengan kawan die bergambar dengan dinosour
kot2 tempat tu mimaland la kot.

Baguih thread nih
Aku penah pi masa kecik dulu. Ingat2 ada aku beli satu cap utk kenang2an..hehehe
Tapi kat Mesia nih apa2 tempat peranginan mmg susah nak buat duit dn banyak yg dah bungkoih...misalnya :
1. Pedu Lake, Kedah - Ada 2 hotel kat sini...rugi dan tutup kedai.
2. Taman Tasik Utara, Johor Baru - rugi, pengambaran filem melayu...ada eksiden dan berlaku kematian...tutup kedai.
3. Safari World, Air Itam, Johor - rugi, mampu bertahan setahun dua jer...tutup kedai
4. Bukit Merah Resort, Perak - masih ada hingga la nih...tapi Syarikat yg jadi tuan punya resort nih...MK Land Holding sedang dlm menanggung kerugian.....sapa yg belum pi....cepat2 pi sebelum jadi mcm Mimaland 
BTW... Mimaland nih kena sama RM1 juta pun boleh bangkrap....tu dulu kat Sunway Lagoon pun bukan ada satu pompuan yg mati sebab tercampak dari one of the rides kat dlm tu...tak daq apa2 pun ?? |

ada beberapa sebab lagi diorang tutup...
kena saman satu hal.....satu lagi pasal pembangunan mimaland yang menjejaskan alam sekitar
ada satu sebab lagi.....sebab tak dapat lesen judi....
retak menunggu belah...tanah runtuh menyebabkan pusat ni ditutup.....
agaknya sebab tak mampu bayar saman berjuta juta dengan macam macam kes...pastu nak menten balik pun problem...akhirnya ditutup camtu ajer |

Remember Mimaland?
If you were born in the 70’s and lived in Klang Valley, you’ll surely remember Mimaland. I was looking through some old photographs of when I was a kid and chanced upon one of me standing in front of the Mimaland sign. While I don’t remember much about the place, I do know that I had a lot of fun there.
Thus I went to hunt for more info on the net. Even Wikipedia only had a one liner on Mimaland.
One other site wasn’t that much more helpful but did provide a contact number and entrance fees. The RM2 entrance fee per person and the 7 digit contact number should have roused my suspicion but I was still hopeful.
After a few more searches, I stumbled upon another blog where people were asking the same question as me. So Mimaland hasn’t been forgotten!
I excitedly read thru the 23 posts where everyone was asking the same questions and some offered a smattering of info. They were talking about 3 storey high slides which cascades into a natural spring swimming pool. And dinosaurs which you can climb. And a maze constructed out trimmed hedges. I vaguely remember what seems like the icons of Mimaland. I need to dig through my old albums and see if I can find anymore taken there.
Then one person posted that Mimaland has been closed since 1994 due to a landslide. My other research attributed the closure due to fatal accident. Perhaps it was a landslide which caused a fatal accident.
Unfortunately Mimaland has not been re-opened since. And what’s worst, a new housing development has been built on Mimaland’s land!
So it’s not the same if I take a drive to Gombak and try to reminisce about Mimaland while having a picnic in someone’s garden.
Hmmmm. That could look like suspicious activity. Should the owner of the house come out to investigate, I should yell at him “You’re house is on Mimaland!!!”.
Sigh. That’s another childhood memory that will remain a memory.

Owner dia magnum...income almost everyday ade "penyumbang" nya...
Refer pada laporan akhbar tu pun...aku rasa owner dia tk minat lagi nak operate semula.
Tunggu ade company / developer yg berminat dgn bid yg menarik, sure let go one.. |

mimaland ni dulu pernah gak pergi masa tu kecik lagi rasanya tahun 80'an rasanya...memang best time tu...pergi dengan rombongan sekolah,pergi dengan family
aku pun sebenarnya dah lupa tempat ni..cuma bila ada thread ni teringat balik MIMALAND..
