Sydney's famous beaches, popular with surfers, looked more like a scene out of a horror movie today when the waters were stained blood red from an algae bloom.
Bondi Beach, as well as nearby Clovelly Beach and Gordon's Bay, were closed while authorities tested the water.
The beaches reopened in the late afternoon after the red algae, which was identified as Noctiluca scintillans or sea sparkle, begin to fade, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Algae blooms are most prevalent in hot, humid weather, the newspaper reported. Australia is currently enjoying the transition from spring to its summer, which begins in December.
On December 3rd, 2012, there will be a 3-planet alignment, between Mercury, Venus and Saturn. These planets will sit directly above the 3 pyramids of Giza (Egypt). It is like a mirror of the Belt Stars of Orion, happened in 10,900 B.C. This planetary alignment
won't happen again, not in another 28,000 years. What should happen come December 3rd, 2012? Probably something significant would happen somewhere. Probably none. We shall see...
NOAA scientists on high alert for 2013 solar maximum
Published on Nov 25, 2012 by Michael Opelka
American physicist and media personality, Michio Kaku appeared on "Coast to Coast AM" with George Noory and discussed the inevitable possibility of the Earth being hit by a massive solar flare that would cripple the county's power supplies and spark food riots within days.

NOAA scientists are on high alert as the Sun enters a period of solar maximum over the next 14 months during which we will see a burst of activity that could have catastrophic effects on global power grids and communications systems.
A solar maximum is a normal period of intense or heightened solar activity in the 11 year solar cycle of the Sun. During a solar maximum, large numbers of sunspots appear and the Sun's power output increases with a significant upsurge in the incidence and power of solar flares. One of the best known examples of a major solar flare that affected communications system was the solar storm of 1859, known as the Carrington Event, a major solar eruption that struck the Earth with such intensity that the northern lights could be seen as far south as Rome, approximately 42° north of the equator.
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) scientists say they are on high alert for massive electromagnetic energy bursts from the Sun during the 2013 solar maximum that could inflict damage on power grids and communications systems.
According to scientists, if the Earth is hit by a major solar flare during the solar maximum it could result in widespread power outage, ground air traffic, disable military and civilian satellite communications.

kalau gitu dah jadi macam filem the book of eli..pakai panah dan pedang je..
Filem The Book of Eli memang dibuat berdasarkan 'future phenomenon', apa yg dijangkakan akan terjadi pada masa akan datang... filem2 Hollywood walaupun berbentuk hiburan, tapi sebenarnya banyak juga filem2 yg memberikan 'hint's' tentang sesuatu peristiwa, yg akan terjadi... mereka juga merujuk kpd kitab2 lama dan certain prophecies, juga material arkeologi/artifak lama dan sumber saintifik... it's up to us, how we read between the lines...
korang tau apa yang aku takut sebenarnya? Aku takut...takde apa2 jadi pada 21/12/2012...lepas tu yang dok beristighfar apa semua tu tinggal camtu ajer.....
The eruption at the 3,085-meter Plosky Tolbachik poses limited hazards.

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, November 28 (RIA Novosti) - An explosive volcanic eruption began in Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula on Tuesday, the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Response Team (KVERT) said on Wednesday.
The eruption at the 3,085-meter Plosky Tolbachik volcano was given code orange (number three on the four-tiered USGS Volcano Alert Level), meaning it “poses limited hazards.”
“Explosive eruption of the volcano began on November 27. Ash explosions up to 32,800 ft (10 km) a.s.l. could occur at any time. Ongoing activity could affect international and low-flying aircraft,” the organization said on its website.
Observers from neighboring villages saw ash explosions and lava flows at the site of the previous eruption. Scientists say the volcano is obscured by clouds at now, but lava intrusions towards the volcano’s summit caldera are also probable.
An ash fall was reported in the nearby village of Krasny Yar.
Plosky Tolbachik, located on the peninsula’s eastern coast, 343 km from the region’s capital of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The volcano erupted only 10 times since records began in 1740. The last eruption was in 1975-1976.

JAKARTA, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Mount Lokon volcano in North Sulawesi erupted on Wednesday, spewing ash up to 3.5 kilometers to the sky, without report of fatality and evacuation, officials said.
Head of National Volcanology Surono said that the eruption took place at 10:05 local time (0205 GMT).
He said that the agency had asked people living near the crater to be alert.
"We issued warning to the people living 2.5 kilometers from the crater," Surono told Xinhua by phone.
Spokesman of National Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho confirmed that there was no evacuation after the eruption.
"There is still no need for evacuation," he told Xinhua by phone.
Indonesia, an archipelago country, is home to 129 active volcanoes.
