Agreed.....
shopaholic & baby mmg best sgt2. In fact all the shopaholic series are good. it's getting beter and better in each sequel. selalunya buku/filem makin lama (maksudnye sambungan dia) makin tak best tapi shopaholic makin best.
tak tau ader sambungan ke tak shopaholic & baby ni. sanggup beli hardcover utk shipaholic series sebab penantian satu penyeksaan. undomestic goddess sgn can u keep a secret ok la. remember me tak berape sgt.
kat kinokuniya ada discount utk chic lit novel (20% rasanye). tak tau available lagi ke tak sebab last pegi 8th July. |

Pearl and Jodie are sisters. Pearl isthe quiet, cautious, studious younger sister. Jodie is bold and brashand bad - but Pearl adores her anyway. When their parents get new jobsas the cook and caretaker at a fusty old boarding school, the girlshave to move there and spend their summer holidays in the school withjust a few children and staff for company. And when they arrive, thingsstart to change. Jodie has always been the leader - but now it's Pearlwho's making new friends like the amazingly tall, badger-watchingHarley and Mrs Wilberforce, the wife of the Head who's confined to awheelchair after an accident but introduces Pearl to wonderful newbooks. Jodie just seems to be getting into more and more trouble -arguing with Mum, scaring the little children, flirting with thegardener...
When term begins, theirstrange summer is over. But things keep on changing. Jodie reallydoesn't fit in with the posh teenagers at the school. But Pearl isdoing well in lessons and has even more friends. Maybe she doesn't needJodie as much as she used to. But Jodie needs her.
And when the schoolcelebrations of Firework Night come around and a tragic event occurs,Pearl realises quite how much she does need her big sister...

Sylvie and Carl have been friends since they were tiny children. They’ve always played together, eaten with each other’s families, called each other boyfriend and girlfriend and deep down, Sylvie has always believed that they’d end up married to each other. They even have a magical fantasy world that belongs to them alone — and the glass hut where it’s all created, at the bottom of Carl’s garden.
But as they become teenagers, things are starting to change. They each have different friends. Sylvie would still rather spend all her time with Carl. But Carl has a new friend, Paul, who is taking all his attention. And he seems much less happy to be called Sylvie’s boyfriend. And in a game of spin the bottle, he avoids having to kiss her. Sylvie can tell his feelings have changed and that her plans for the future may be affected. But can she guess at the true reasons behind it all? A moving, compelling and delicately handled treatment of sexuality from the Children’s Laureate. |

A local publishing house is working with Harlequin to translate and release popular titles in Malaysia .
CHICK lit has grown rapidly in recent years, with popular titles like Sex & The City, The Devil Wears Prada and Confessions of A Shopaholic making it to the big screen.
Now local readers can savour these stories in Bahasa with the recent tie-up between KarnaDya Solutions Sdn Bhd and Harlequin Enterprises.
Faiz with the new titles published under Red Dress Ink.
Harlequin, the world抯 largest publisher of women抯 fiction, releases books in 29 languages in 102 countries. It has published works by over 1,200 authors, who sold 130 million books worldwide last year ‑ or about four books per second.
KarnaDya, a three-year-old publishing house which targets the youth market, will bring out the Malay chick lit titles under a brand called Red Dress Ink.
According to Faiz Al-Shahab, marketing manager for KarnaDya, the partnership came about when Harlequin was looking for a local partner to work on translations for the Malaysian market.
In an e-mail interview, Michelle Laforest, the managing director of Harlequin Enterprises (Australia), says it found the right team in KarnaDya.
揗ost of our offices work independently, choosing Harlequin titles and authors according to the needs of their market. In cases where there is no local Harlequin office, we work together with in-country publishers, such as KarnaDya, |
