Not so Smooth Criminal: Prince Jackson is pulled over by the LAPD for driving with illegal strobe lights on his monster truck
His father had a massive hit with Smooth Criminal, but Michael Jackson's son Prince was neither smooth nor very much of a criminal when he was pulled over by the LAPD.
The 16-year-old was given a ticket by the pouncing officer but it was just for the minor infringement of having illegal strobe lights on the grill of his new truck.
Prince, like the good teenager he is, was pulled over in a parking lot while heading to Fatburger for lunch with his brother Blanket and cousin Royal.

It appears Prince Jackson may have met his match in Kuwaiti princess Remi Alfalah.
On Friday Michael Jackson's 16-year-old son escorted the royal beauty to hotspot Madeo in Los Angeles, where the two shared a romantic dinner.
Remi couldn't contain her smile as she exited the restaurant at the end of the evening, indicating that the date must've been a success.

To the outside world, Michael Jackson was an iconic but eccentric superstar with a troubled past and a tumultuous personal life. But to his three young kids, he was just "dad." In a new interview with the Mail on Sunday's Event magazine, the King of Pop's now-15-year-old daughter, Paris, opens up about what it was really like to grow up with the late music legend, who died in 2009 when she was 11 years old.
"I have lots of memories of my father," the teen tells the U.K. publication of Jackson, 50 at the time of his passing. "He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death."
"He'd try to educate us as much as he could and was always looking out for us," she adds. "He was very protective."
So protective, in fact, that he often made his children -- Paris, Prince Michael, now 16, and Prince Michael II, 11 -- wear masks when they were in public. "He didn't want anyone to see what we looked like," his daughter explains. "That way we could have what he didn't, which was a normal childhood."
Normal is relative, of course. But in many ways, Paris is just like other kids at the super-exclusive Buckley School in L.A. -- she's a cheerleader, she's into sports (including flag football and volleyball), and she has big plans for a career that has nothing to do with showbiz. "I want to go to medical school and be a doctor specializing in heart surgery," she tells Event. "I want to help people."
Another way she plans to go about that? By reopening her childhood home. After making an emotional pilgrimage to her father's Neverland estate two years ago, the ambitious young teen started dreaming up ways to someday rebuild the ranch in his memory.
"I think it should be restored to how it used to be so that the children who couldn't have a childhood could have fun there," she says, adding that the place is "beautiful" and "still has good energy." She hopes to fund the project using some of the millions in inheritance money her famous dad left her and her siblings when he died.
In the meantime, however, she and her brothers live with their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and are focused on just enjoying their childhood -- the way their father always hoped they would. "I want to have a normal high school experience," Paris says.

Jermaine Jackson is encouraging Paris Jackson to spend time with her birth mother.
The late King of Pop's brother - who is uncle to the 'Thriller' hitmaker's three children, Prince, 16, Paris, 15, and 11-year-old Blanket - thinks it's ''great'' that Michael's daughter is getting close to her mother Debbie Rowe following his death.
He told TMZ: ''I think that's wonderful. The kids need their mom. I think it's great. That's their mother. That's wonderful. That's a good thing.''
Debbie - who was married to Michael between 1996 and 1999 - gave full custody of her two children with Michael, Prince and Paris, during their divorce proceedings in 1999 and later relinquished all parental rights to the children in 2001.
However, after the singer's death in June 2009, Debbie, 54, reached an agreement with Michael's mother - who became the children's' legal guardian - for supervised visitation rights.
Debbie has reportedly developed an ''intense bond'' with her daughter and the pair have been spending lots of time together in recent months.
The 'Bad' singer's ex-wife supported the teenager, who performed in a dance contest at her school in Los Angeles over the weekend, turning up with a bouquet of flowers.
Debbie also spent Paris' 15th birthday with her earlier this month.
Meanwhile, it appears Debbie and Michael's son Prince is not yet ready to develop a relationship with his mother.
The 16-year-old budding TV presenter allegedly isn't interested in getting to know his birth mother, but she hopes that they will develop a natural connection much like she did with Paris.

She has been spending more and more time with her mother Debbie Rowe in recent weeks.
And it’s clear that Paris Jackson and her mother have developed a very close bond.
Now reports have emerged that the daughter of Michael Jackson has already taken the next step and moved in with Debbie.
According to CelebrityFix, Paris packed her bags at the home of her grandmother Katherine and is settling into her new abode.
‘There has been a string of turbulent rows in the Jackson home over the past few weeks and it’s all coming to a head,’ a source told the website.
Despite these reports Paris' regular posts on her Twitter page prove that she is perfectly happy and well-adjusted teenager, and on Thursday she gushed of her excitement about the upcoming school summer holiday.

Her late father Michael was a fan of Western inspired costumes, and he loved to dress up as a full blown cowboy on occasion.

The 15-year-old bonded with the animals - including the horses - and hopped on a fence as if she was cheering at the rodeo.
