Jepun bina dron memastikan semua pekerja balik ON-TIME

While Japan is known as a first-world country full of technological wonders and civilised society, it is also notoriously recognised by its brutal work culture among its workforce. Employees have been known to die from overworking or even commit suicide due to the extreme work pressure demanded by their superiors.
The problem is so severe, that the Japanese people has their own word for it – karoshi – which literally translates as ‘overwork death’ and is not that uncommon in the land of the rising sun.
In order to combat the problem, Japanese companies Taisei, NTT East and Blue Innovation created a new drone designed to force employees to leave their workplace after the end of their work hours.
Dubbed as the T-Frend, the drone is designed to annoy employees who are still in their offices after work hours by blasting out the classic Scottish folk song Auld Lang Syne – popular among Malaysians as the tune to the song Bertemu Berpisah.
In Japan, the song is commonly used by stores to announce that they are closing.
“You can’t really work when you think ‘it’s coming over any time now,’ and hear ‘Auld Lang Syne’ along with the buzz,” said Narihiro Kato, a director of Taisei, a Nagoya-based office security and cleaning firm.
The company plans to begin the drone’s service in April in collaboration with drone system developer Blue Innovation, with a target price of around 500,000 yen (RM18,000) per month.
The T-Frend drone can fly in a pre-determined flight path across the office autonomously, using its sensors to navigate around walls and other obstacles while maintaining its height to prevent papers from being flown by its propellers.
It can also double as a security drone, recording surveillance footage and doing facial recognition on any possible intruders or burglars.
Not everyone is impressed with the idea. One sociology professor in Osaka University, Scott North, told BBC even if the drone succeeds in sending the employees home, they will take their work home if they have unfinished assignments.
“To cut overtime hours, it is necessary to reduce workloads, either by reducing the time-wasting tasks and tournament-style competitions for which Japanese workplaces are notorious, or by hiring more workers,” he argued.
Meanwhile, Seijiro Takeshita, a professor of management and information at the University of Shizuoka, described the drone as a silly thing and claimed companies are doing this just to be seen as their attempt in solving the overtime problem. |

Kejadahnya guna drone. Baik kau pasang timer pukul 5 petang cut-off electric supply ke aircond, PC dan lampu office je. Lagi jimat. |

di malaysia... rakyat mati sebab malas kerja...
Kalau semua company kat Malaysia termasuk swasta dan gomen ni pasang dron. ....macam mana nak mengular. ...nak balik awal. ..nak datang lewat. ..nak minum lagi. ...hehe ...lagi stress |

Kadang saja stayback kerja sampai lewat malam tapi kualiti kerja takda buat apa. Lebih bagus ko rancang kerja ko utk sehari supaya lebih teratur...melainkan kalau ada kecemasan yang tidak boleh dielak |
