Adam lambert kan pernah join queen punya tour as vocalist. Vocal wise ok tapi performance hmm.. Tak on par ngan freddie, nyanyi tegak je.

Bohemian Rhapsody ialah sebuah filem biopic fiksyen yang disaster dan pretentious as fuck. Kalau aku peminat tegar Queen, aku malu dan terhina dihidangkan filem begini tentang band kegemaran aku. Filem biopic pada aku dibuat untuk menceritakan momen penting sebuah band itu dengan telus dan membongkar kisah yang selama ni jadi tanda tanya. Bukannya kau fiksyenkan fakta dan sejarah semata untuk jadikan biopic itu feel good movie.

Apa lancau Freddie pergi jumpa anggota Smile dekat backstage, dan lepas kena kutuk gigi jongang, Freddie wow-kan mereka dengan kehebatan vokal dan ramai-ramai nyanyi berharmoni? Pretentious dan fake gila babi. Ini bukan School of Rock. Lepas tu fiksyenkan momen John-Yoko dalam Queen. Konon Freddie ada balak yang problematic yang membawa kepada pergolakan band dan pepecahan. Kemudian lepas satu sesi curhat dengan Jim Hutton, Freddie terus jatuh cinta dan ajak dia jumpa mak. Konek, ingat ni Disney movie ke?

Paling masalah ialah timeline Freddie kena AIDS. Bila menda tu pun kau fiksyenkan, jadi apa point kau buat filem biopic ni? Konon against all odds dan dalam kondisi kesihatan teruk, Freddie tetap power di Live Aid. Apa punya misleading la. Dia power masa tu sebab dia memang power. Dia sihat walafiat lagi. Lepas tu siap ada scene Bob Geldof- founder Live Aid sengih duit derma masuk bertubi semata sebab perfomance Queen. Konek betul. Scene tak perlu pun. Nak feel good sampai level mana? Band lain pun power dalam Live Aid ni, duit derma memang konfem masuk bertubi.

Masalah bila jadikan konsert Live Aid ni sebagai klimaks cerita biopic band sebesar Queen. Konsert ni Queen main memang power tapi power-power gitu jela. Bukan dia kataris band pun. Orang nak tahu macam mana strunggle Freddie melawan AIDS lepas tu dan efeknya dia terhadap band. Menda ni yang perlu ceritakan, sebab menda ni yang jadi misteri tentang Freddie. Macam mana dia hadapi AIDS (Mitos cakap dia masih dengan lifestyle wild even lepas dignosis, power tak power la) Malah momen penting bagaimana Freddie didignosis pun buat acuh tak acuh je. Setakat montage malas pergi klinik. Takkan takde emosi langsung.

Sebab tu Sacha Boren Cohen blah dari filem ni. Patutnya filem ni lebih dark dengan teroka sisi wild Freddie dan taboo AIDS masa tu. Tapi Brian May dengan Roger Taylor dan tunjuk sisi disney Queen je. Takut sangat legasi rosak. Bangang, jangan la buat filem biopic kalau takut. Rami Malek sebagai Freddie Mercury ni bagi aku biasa-biasa je. Mungkin dia nail it masa jadi Freddie luar pentas, sebab aku tak tahu la macam mana Freddie real life. Tapi masa perform tak berapa sangat. Terlalu dibuat-buat dan mekanikal. Muka tak confident masa nyanyi. Memek muka terlalu mencuba.

Malah, pada aku tajuk Bohemian Rhapsody ni pun dah bangang sebenarnya. Macam kau buat filem biopic Metallica tajuk Enter Sandman atau Oasis tajuk Wonderwall. Kasi la subtle sikit. Ini la kalau takde taste, malas dan tahu nak jual je.  Jadi kesimpulannya filem ni tidaklah boleh dianggap biopic. Ia hanya kisah ala fairytale sebuah band fiksyen nama Queen.

PUTRAJAYA Nov 13 — The Malaysian Film Censorship Board (LPF) confirmed today that only three minutes of Bohemian Rhapsody’s runtime was cut after moviegoers claimed that up to 24 minutes of the film had been snipped off.

[size=1em]Its chairman Mohd Zamberi Abdul Aziz told Malay Mail that a total of 12 scenes were cut, four of which involved gay moments.

“These cuts totalled up to 180 seconds.

“Seven involved muting bad words (mostly one second cuts) while the four gay scenes involved moments such as men kissing each other, men rubbing each other, and a group of men in dresses partying in a mansion.

“Another scene removed was the post credit scene which stated Freddie Mercury and Jim Hutton lived a happy life because it showed that they were in a gay relationship,” Zamberi told Malay Mailin an interview.

Malaysian moviegoers also claimed the music video I Want to Break Free and the scene where Mercury explained to his fiancee, Mary Austin, that he is bisexual were removed.

The biopic on Freddie Mercury and British rock band Queen received a PG-13 rating in United States and United Kingdom, but to moviegoers surprise in Malaysia, it was rated as 18 upon its release on November 6.

“On September 27, the distributors approached us and after reviewing it we decided to give it an 18 rating as we had to adhere to the guidelines set (http://lpf.moha.gov.my/lpf/images/Perundangan/GARIS_PANDUAN_PENAPISAN_FILEM(1).pdf),” Zamberi said.

“We had to follow these guidelines, because if we didn’t, Malaysians would not be able to watch it at cinemas nationwide as it would have been banned.

“Anything related to LGBT or promoting it will not be approved, and because we know it’s a movie which people wanted to watch we only cut very few scenes per the guideline,” he said, using the abbreviation for ‘lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender’.

Zamberi also explained how ratings vary from country to country and hoped that Malaysians understood the need for the altered rating.

“If we maintained it at PG-13, it would have faced more cuts. I did not want that as I believe it would have affected the storyline. PG-13 would also mean simpler scenes such as alcohol consumption and kissing to be chopped off too.”

The LPF chairman also said that LPF does not plan to list out and publicise the number of scenes cut or altered as it would raise too many arguments among Malaysians.

“We have no plans yet to show the details of the cut or muted scenes before the release of a movie or during as it will raise more arguments due to our different views.

One might not see a problem in cutting a particular scene, while another will have a different say. We’ll think about it in the future, but at present, no.”

The film directed by Dexter Fletcher and Bryan Singer stars Rami Malek (Mercury), Lucy Boynton, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joseph Mazzello and Aidan Gillen.

Tajuk filem aku tk setuju ngan mamat ni...Bohemian rhapsody lagu ikonik dari queen...one of the greatest rock song ever.bukan sbb lagu popular semata metallica mmg dah popular siap menang Grammy way before...'black album'.hanya queen member  saje tau lagu  Br tu psl ape.dan ada sbb kenapa Ietak  BR..cuma pengisian filem ni mmg boleh dipertikai. kt UK pun katanya tak berapa layan sgt filem..critics pun meh..tapi rata 2queen fan tak peduli pun psl fakta  filem ni..

Story of Song
This song talks about someone who feels trapped in their relationship and wants to ‘break free’ of their lover. Although it was originally intended to be a male perspective of the women’s liberation movement, it was then taken on as somewhat of an anthem for one’s own personal freedom for person who finds his/herself in a situation where they feel repressed and want to ‘break free’ of their circumstances and show the real person that they are.

The idea of dressing up in the video was suggested by Roger Taylor,featuring the band dressed up in drag-with Freddie as a housewife, Roger Taylor as a young school girl, Brain May as a housewife, and John Deacon as a grandmother. Echoing the song’s lyrics, all of them want to ‘break free’ of their lives. Roger Taylor said, “We had done some really serious, epic videos in the past, and we just thought we’d have some fun. We wanted people to know that we didn’t take ourselves too seriously, that we could still laugh at ourselves.

I think we proved that”. In an interview with Q magazine March 2011, Bryan May was asked whether each band member’s character in the video was an accurate reflection of their personalities? He answered:”Of Course! Everybody thinks that was Freddie’s idea because it looks like something that he would love to do but it actually came from Roger’s girlfriend at the time, strangely enough. It was her idea to pastiche the Coronation Street women.”  But in the US, it was a different story, the British humor didn’t go over well with the Americans, and  some got offended by the band dressing as women, seeing the video as an empowerment to transvestites. Couple with Mercury’s bisexuality, the video proved too controversial and ended up being banned on MTV. Brian May said, “I think at that point we lost America, which is a shame, as it means there’s a whole chunk of Queen songs which never got played or heard there.”

aku suka citer ni satu lagi sebab aku rasa this is the way freddie wants us to remember him.  so tetek bengik accuracy tu tak la kisah sangat. overall, ada cerita yg nak disampaikan and something need to be heard. aku emotional roller coaster sgt citer neh tatau pasaipa.

betul.pd akak sbb akak bukanlah peminat tegar queen,so apa bapak dia kelentong twist dlm citer ni akak x kisah.tp utk sebuah movie,yes mmg cite ni best.kalau nak based on facts baik akak tgk history channel.
