A woman could be facing charges after an irate confrontationat a Langley Tim Hortons Monday ended in feces being thrown at staff.

On Wednesday, surveillancevideo showing Tim Hortons staff being harassed was posted on Liveleak andYouTube.In the video, which has nosound, a woman can be seen screaming at staff before squatting on the floor andrelieving herself. She then picks up the excrement and throws it at staff.Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largyconfirmed that RCMP received a complaint

She said a woman was detained and released, but it to attend court at a later date.The B.C. Prosecution Servicewill review the circumstances and determine if charges will be laid.

The Tim Hortons employee hadapparently denied the woman access to the restroom.

“Our current understanding isthat the team member used their discretion in this case and denied access tothis guest based on past behaviour and out of concern for the immediate safetyof team members and guests in the restaurant. As matters escalated, the TeamMember contacted local authorities for assistance,” Tim Hortons said in astatement.The company says they areworking with the franchise owner and will be “looking into this matterfurther.”

“We are deeply concerned by this video asthe safety of our team members and guests is always a top priority for us. Inlimited cases across the country, Restaurants have a restricted access policyfor restrooms to ensure the well-being of our guests,” the statement said

A spokesperson for the Canadian coffee chain told BuzzFeed News that some of its restaurants have a "restricted access policy for restrooms to ensure the well-being of our guests."

The spokesperson said that their current understanding of the incident is that the woman was denied access to the restroom based on her "past behavior." This seemed to have sparked her rage.

The targeted employee called authorities, who continue to investigate the incident.

"We strive to create a welcoming environment for all of our guests and the communities we serve," the coffee chain said in a statement. "We are deeply concerned by this video as the safety of our team members and guests is always a top priority for us."
