Battle of The Band-Kebangkitan Band Rock di Malaysia

Saya dibesarkan dengan mendengar lagu-lagu rock Melayu. Kebanjiran rock band di tahun 80-an, i would say, thanks to saudara Ali Bakar.
Beliau lah yg melancarkan album yang mengabungkan rock band. Album inilah yang mencetuskan pelbagai concert rock especially apa yg digelar Battle of The Band. Album ini mengabungkan rock band seperti Ella & The Boy, Bloodshed, Lefthanded, SYJ (oh my, i love this band) dan Rahim Maarof & Whitesteel.
Album BOTB ni meletup gila la di tahun 80an. Malas nak fikir ayat, so sy copy paste dari wikipedia kandungan lagu dari album tersebut:-

Terdapat banyak pertandingan rock band seperti mana yg ditulis di sini,

Kemunculan kumpulan rock tempatan menjadi semakin rancak dan berkembang dengan kewujudan pertandingan-pertandingan pelbagai peringkat. Antara yang terulung kali diadakan adalah pertandingan peringkat kebangsaan seperti Juara Rock, Festival Rock dan Battle Of The Bands 1 dan 2.

SYJ tu syed yusu jamalulail pengasas kumpulan SYJ lepastu rebrand kump sofia..vokalist penyanyi aris ariwatan.
slepas itu aris solo as aris ariwatan. |

lagu lagu Zul Adnan Mohd Razali@JS Kevin agak berapi juga. sayang beliau pergi dahulu, kalau tak aku rasa Sa'ari Amri or Azmeer tak boleh cari makan. dulu tunggu result SPM aku keje kilang Harris kat Keramat dengan anak buah beliau. memang JS Kevin ni humble gila.
cerita fashion pulak, skinny jeans, leather trousers memang trending. ultimate symbol of rock pada deme. in fact bukan seluar je. head to toe leather! bakerboy hat, jacket and gloves. belum lips gloss lagi. ada juga yang selet celak kat mata. udah ghope apa la.
taim nak buka seluar memang hazab!

konsert paling sedih gua penah tgk ialah silkhannaz, buat kat expo kawasan cina
penonton ada 6 org je, gua & my kasen, konduktor bas kilang & kawan dia, nyonya tua & cucu dia tersesat masuk |

serious sedih! aku penah la pegi rooftop concert kat seremban. boleh tahan crowd. buat waktu malam jadi memang enjoy. mujur takde yang lalok terjun bangunan.
zaman awal 90an kalau raja funfair bagi kat XPDC. diorang punya live performance memang salute. masa ni dah modern sikit. dah mula ada CD.
hmm rasa muda pulak. macam baru malam tadi pegi Stadium Shah Alam tengok Jon Bon Jovi

BOTB...ambo masih di sekolah menengah rendah bila ini semua terjadi. Selalu pinjam kaset dari sepupu sebab suka layan lagu lagu rock sebelum ia bertukar menjadi rock leleh. |
