Sarah, a socially isolated woman with a fondness for arts and crafts, horses, and supernatural crime shows finds her increasingly lucid dreams trickling into her waking life.
Forbes.com Review
You can quickly get lost as you try to explain away all of Horse Girl’s disparate elements. After a fairly normal, humdrum beginning, the film rapidly dissolves into the crevices of Sarah’s warped outlook on the world, forcing us to play catch-up—when, in reality, the movie’s plot is quite simple. It only becomes complicated when we take everything at face value, and fail to recognize Sarah is manufacturing a false reality.
In order to understand Horse Girl, we simply need to grasp the film’s core exploration. The movie isn’t about time travel or aliens or horses—it’s about psychotic depression; it’s what can happen when people have reached such a depressed state and lose touch with reality; it’s an encapsulation of how difficult it can be to admit you’re depressed. Psychosis isn’t a choice, but instead something many people are plagued with when reality has become too difficult to handle. And it can push people to scary levels when it isn’t treated properly.

Cerita ni macam Tully sikit2. Oklah not bad. Tapi slow cerita dia. Bezanya dalam cerita ni, husband dia banyak membantu.

Movie ni walaupun slow, I suka sangat.
Sebab dia punya plot twist tu, memang tak sangka. Superb performance by Natalie Portman.
Black Swan (2010)

Netflix's hit series The Haunting of Hill House mixes family drama with some chilling horror for a scary good time. But the series goes beyond that with deep layered storytelling and direction that make it a masterpiece.
