she's good fairy...banyak nasihat dia i rasa sgt bagus  and inspire me a lot cumer her approach sometimes too strict...penah i dapat assignment ethics '0' per 100 tau sebab tak ikut cara dier ajar, tak boleh masuk itu ini, kene exactly wat apa yg dier bagi jer, takleh tambah2...tue yg my batch hanginnn satu badan ngan hendon...penah dier kuar kelas laa tak nak mgajar and said 'this is the worst batch i ever teach!' even masa kelas last pun dier ada gak marah sket2...i think she's better teach small class rather than mass lect which consists of 100 students...takleh control and of course her voice quite small...

hai tak taulaa...mgkn teruk lerr paper ethics kitorang....even ada bad story dier bagi tau uitm dah pecah rekod 3 orang fail exam ethics masa chambie yg compulsory course tue ...malu tak.......tuela puncanya dier agak 'berangin' sket...

Mahasiswa UiTM, UIAM terbaik kuasai bahasa Inggeris

UiTM honorary degrees for Chief Justice and JCorp Chief Executive

SHAH ALAM, May 24 (Bernama) -- Chief Justice Tun Ahmad Fairuz Sheikh Abdul Halim and Johor Corporation (JCorp) chief executive Tan Sri Muhammad Ali Hashim were conferred honorary doctorates in law and entrepreneurship respectively by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, who is chancellor of UiTM, presented the degrees at its 66th convocation here today. Also present was Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah.

Ahmad Fairuz who was born in Alor Star in 1941, studied at the University of Singapore before becoming a magistrate in Penang in 1967.

He was appointed High Court judge in 1990 and rose to Chief Justice on March 14, 2003.

Muhammad Ali who was born in Mersing, Johor in 1947, began his career with Bank Negara Malaysia amid the racial riots on May 13, 1969. He was appointed chief executive of JCorp in January 1982.

Ahmad Fairuz said the degree awarded meant so much to him and he believed that law students had the creativity to interpret the law during lessons.

He commended UiTM law students for their strong command of English and that it was better than the level achieved by those who studied overseas.

"We cannot close our minds from learning the justice systems of other countries like the communist, socialist, continental and Islam. There is no harm in studying them and applying the good aspects in our country," he added.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ali said the focus for the Malays currently was to encourage them to be involved in entrepreneurship.

"The big challenge is to ensure that the Malays and Bumiputeras do not lag behind and that concerted efforts must be made to increase the number of entrepreneurs from this group," he added.

Johawaki takes responsibility for problems at Jalan Duta court complex

By FLORENCE A. SAMY

PETALING JAYA: The contractor of the new Jalan Duta court complex has apologised and taken responsibility for the problems plaguing the building.

Minister in the Prime Minister抯 Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said Johawaki Sdn Bhd expressed regret over what happened and would take full responsibility.

He said the contractor had earlier said the burst pipe which caused water to flood the cafeteria was due to an oversight by a subcontractor.

揑 told them that as the main contractor, they should ensure that all work was in order. I do not deal with subcontractors,

Mistresses have rights, too

By RAPHAEL WONG

PUTRAJAYA: Women, including mistresses, have rights in modern-day society and therefore should not be treated as chattel, the Court of Appeal ruled in a landmark decision.

Justice Gopal Sri Ram said following an English case law in 1858, the English courts at that time did not recognise the rights of women as they were then only considered as chattel.

However, he said the concepts in equity were not carved in stone and have since evolved according to the circumstances of contemporaneous society.

揙therwise, women will have no rights at all today.

揇o you think in this day and age we should apply principles relevant to society, which treat women as chattel? It would be a retrogressive step.
