aku ngk topic asthma yg lepas mcm dah kena lock.so aku bukak yg baru.ada beb. persoalan haku:
1)apa namer specialist yg kite bleh jumper utk masalah nih?saper yg ader exp leh leh suggest dr apa best
2)then kalo kite nak jumper first time for asthma assesment nih biasanyer dr tuh akan buat apa?mesti dia tanya history seme kan?then ada tak dia akan buat lung function test ke haper test lagik?sbb haku plan sometime nanti nak bwk mak,mak aku tuh dok kg..mesti le ms sihat dia mai visit haku.kalo ms sihat kalo jumper dr bese mesti kater lungs clear jek...pehtu baper charge dia agaknyer?
3)pehtu yg aku dok bc2 kat sini n kat website lain tuh ada dua jenis inhaler.one is reliever, and the other one is preventer.mak aku at the mean time pakai reliever tp tu ler..jap ngan dr nih dos nih..yg dr tuh kasik dos sekian...cian mak aku...utk siapa pakai preventer tuh?

pening gak haku bc pasal inhaler lelah nih....tp yg aku prasan mak aku mmg pakai yg cekelat n biru...last week tuesday mak aku kena attack,mmg bwk g sedut gas ler,nebulizer ke nama dia....until now memlm kena sedut gak lg..ic..kena bwk jumper dr balik ker?

paling penting jangan bagi dia batuk.

...honey...ada 2 main groups of medicines which can improve the symptoms due to asthma....and from your post...your mum is having both of them...

..ok...the first group is called relievers....these inhalers are usually blue in colour...these medicines act to relax the muscles around the airway and they relieve the obstruction to airflow rapidly....tho these medicine make breathing easier and provide rapid relief of symptoms they do not modify the underlying disease....therefore they are useful in an acute attack or in prevention of exercise induced asthma....and...they are often used on an as-needed basis....

...reliever medications should be carried at all times and be used promptly to treat any asthma symptom....so your mum must have this medicine with her at all times...


...the second group is called preventers....these inhalers are usually brown in colour...they act to reduce the inflammation or swelling of the airway lining and reduce mucus production....unlike bronchodilators (the relievers)they do not provide immediate relief....however they modify the sensitive airways by reducing inflammation and thus preventing further attacks of asthma....for your info...anti-inflammatories are now the first line of treatment in many programmes for managing problematic asthma....

...these preventers are usually given over a long period of time in order to modify the disease....preventive medications should always be used whether or not there are symptoms of asthma....so meaning your mum kenalah pakai preventer nie hari2...semput ke tidak tak bley miss...mesti nak puff jugak...and advise your  mum dont stop her preventive medications without her dr's advice....

...in the event your mum need to use both of the inhalers...always use the reliever first...then followed by the preventer inhaler...reason being is that by using the reliever first it helps to open up the airway better lah...

...also sis...it is good if u could get for your mum the spacer...it is said that using the spacer delivers the very most of your inhaled medications...

...one more thing...cuba honey belek kat pg 1 in this thread...kat situ ive posted an asthma action plan...baca dan fahamkan...and advise your mum to follow that action plan...insyaallah keadaan dia bley improve...

ooo..like that ka...haku mmg dah bc berkali..insyaAllah kali nih menangkap sbb blackmore dah kasik color code.chronologynyer gini sis...
first attack last year,my mom was given neb at the hospital,and the doc gave her theopyline pills,puff yg biru(i think it's ventolin puff kan?)
2nd attack,neb then the doc said theopyline pills may give side effects to the heart so she's given brown puff and blue puff.
3rd happened a week ago,doc said her puffs already empty, put hher on neb, asked her to stop the brown one,gave a new blue puff and pred pill.now mmg dia ckp terpaksa menyedut blue puff(reliever) tuh everynite.sib baik daytime ok...her cough doesn't go away yet though dah abis sebotol ubat batuk.
sis i nak tanya le pasal pred pills nih..leh citer tak dia utk aper?sbb i penah dpt skali,i mkn igt2 luper gitu jek...pastu tak sampai seminggu i terasa mcm semput balik..g jumper dr dia ckp i stop pred tuh terlalu awal..iyer ker gitu?

Assalamualaikum, ada sesapa yang suffer dengan asma? i nak share ngan u all. My sister asma teruk. Hari-hari kena pakai inhaler. Then my friend introduce this supplement TRANSFER FACTOR. (Ekstrak dari kolostrum dan kuning telur). VERY EFFECTIVE! Lepas 3 hari, my sister dah  tak perlu guna inhaler lagi. Dia maintain je makan. Dia makan sejuk2, bukak kipas laju2 pun alhamdulillah takde semput. Actually this supplement bagus sebab dia merangsang sistem imun untuk lawan apa jua penyakit.  Insyaallah .

Try Health food - TRANSFER FACTOR. Very effective untuk asma.

sorry if this question may sound funny..mcm mana nak make sure yg inhalernyer content reach our lungs?aku skang tgh pakai preventer type..so tak leh nak tau mujarabnyer immediately..yg aku buat..aku goncang, then ltk kat mulut..antara gigi tuh...make sure mulut seme ttp..then aku tekan..then aku sedut napas ikut mulut...betul ker?

...eerrr...kalau ko tak pandai nak gunakan inhaler ko nie or u didnt realise that u are not doing it the rite way...much of the medicine may end up on your tongue...on the back of your throat or even went up in the air...a spacer or valved-holding chamber can prevent this from happening and ensuring that u get the very max of your inhaled medication...this is how a spacer looks like...





...dan nie cara2 nak gunakannya...

1. Remove cap from metered dose inhaler (MDI)



2. Holding MDI upright, place in end of holding chamber



3. Shake the MDI and chamber three to five times



4. Tilt your head back slightly and breathe out



5. Put your mouth around the holding chamber mouthpiece



6. Squeeze down on the MDI to send the medicine into the holding chamber  
7. Breathe in slowly and completely, for three to five seconds



8. Hold your breath for about ten seconds


9. Repeat the procedure again for every each puff....wait one minute between puffs

Kat mana nak beli portable nebuliser yang reasonable price? So far 1 clinic quoted me rm390 for pic indolor (italian brand) and 1 pharmacy quoted me RM395 for omron .. is that the cheapest in the market? which brand is better?

anak i ada athma since umur dia 1 years, he dapat athma because my husband pun ada athma. luckily kitaroang dapat detect awal..sebab dr yg rawat dia pun ada athma.. hehe. so every night kitaorang kena give him a puff yg warna biru n people, n we use aero chamber. mahal gak la aero chamber tuh tgk kat pharmacy dalam rm 400 nasib baik company cover.

my experience with my son bila dia start batuk n ada banyak flame itu lah masa yg dia akan kena athma yg teruk. so selalunya kitaorang terpaksa masukkan jari dalam mulut , supaya dia muntah n flame keluar. bila flame dah kelaur bari my son akan nampak relief.

jaga baby yg ada athma kena sabar ..sebab diaorang ni kalau makan banyak pun mudah muntah..kalau tgh jerebu ni lagi lah...

...sis...u should talk to your doctor about whether your child would benefit from a home nebuliser before making the decision to buy one...cos using the inhaler with a spacer device is a cheaper...more convenient and effective alternative to the use of a nebuliser....

...having a portable nebuliser nie bermakna jugak ko kena beli ubat2nya skali...and these medicines do have expiry dates...so...kalau attack dia tak kerap...then no use buying one...kalau attack dia kerap...then u have to bring him in for assessment and further evaluation...he may need a preventer to help control his attack...

saya dulu first kena athma masa umur 25 thn. skrg dah 3 thn lebih tak pernah kena lagi. kiranya mengidap athma tu selama 6 thn.

athma nie tak semua org sama penyebab nye. tapi mostly sbb alergies / alah pada sesuatu lah. saya punya athma was triggered by makanan tertentu dan cuaca sejuk, kalau upset sgt pun boleh kena jugak, lapar sgt pun blh kena. setiap kali kena tu mmg kena pegi hospital for nubelizer. inhaler masa tu mmg tak boleh tinggal..mesti ada.

dlm famili kitorang, ayah and my sister pun ada athma jgk. so kira mcm keturunan lah.

actually, ubat2 hospital nie bukan tak elok tapi semua tu just for mengubat masa kena aje. ubat2 athma nie mostly ada steriod sbb ia digunakan utk membuka ruang pernafasan yg menyempit.

saya cuba byk jenis herba dan ubat2 traditional. antara yg saya rasa telah memberi kesan ialah propolis (air liur lebah), klorofil alfalfa dan jeli gamat. saya tak pasti yg mana tapi mmg tiga2 pun berkhasiat. setelah setahun lebih mengamal kan ketiga2 nya, skrg dah hampir 3 thn tak ada kena serangan athma walaupun makan makanan yg dulu tu blh triggered athma.

benda2 tu kena rajin mengamalnya. dia bkn mcm ubat2 hospital yg blh menyembuh segera tp ambil masa. tapi tak semua tu berkesan dgn semua org sbb lain org lain dia punya sistem penerimaan badan nya. so kenalah usaha dan tawakal pada tuhan... insya'allah...
