No problem. Here's how it goes...
We walk in the Bose store and walk out with it!

Good idea? HaHa

Bose is kinda nice, but we in the Head-Fi community don't take too kindly to this brand for overpricing.

If you want IEM, get Etymotic, Shure, Super-Fi or China mari Crossroads Mylar series which give good sound at cheap RM.

I have tried a few Shure and other brands that cost around 200-300 ringgit but they don't really work for me...

I have mylar3... I think it's Korean...

Head-fi people and those who have tried many brands usually don't like bose.
I don't know, haven't try them...

Usually their comment is that Bose is not that bad, but not that good either. And waaay overpriced.

I'm not really into headphone amps because they are not really portable in my point of view.

So, what headphones are you using?

Head-Fi kaki will probably heard of EFN's Ety rig:

Imodded ipod 5G > custom V-dock film cap > Xin SuperMicro v4 headamp > Etymotic ER4 with custom earmold tip

Arguably the best portable IEM setup in the world is around and about right here in KL.  I dealt with him before and he has golden ears I tells you. Can write paragraphs just describing sound improvement as he upgrades to something.
