Bayern Munich willing to release Man City target Podolski on-loan

Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City, could be allowed out on loan by the German club. Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness is considering sending Podolski out on loan as he has found it hard to break into the first team this season. Hoeness told Kicker magazine: "We have got to talk about what we are going to do. I am torn." He added: "I want to help him to make it to the Europeans Championships. And if we loan him out and everything goes well, we have done everything right. "Then we have got him games and he comes back on July 1." Podolski is competing for a starting place with the likes of Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni, but the Bundesliga club insist a permanent transfer is not on the cards. Hoeness said: "A club like Bayern Munich needs four top strikers."

Lehmann Not Ruling Out Bayern Move Jens Lehmann has provided more ammunition for the gossip pages by hinting that he could be tempted by the chance to link up with J黵gen Klinsmann again and join Bayern Munich in the summer.

The German international keeper, who has been demoted to second choice at Arsenal, recently turned down a move to Borussia Dortmund as he was not prepared to return to Germany on a short-term deal.
However, it remains unclear whether his long-tern future lies in London playing second fiddle to Manuel Almunia.
While Lehmann has decided to remain with The Gunners until the end of the season, it is being rumoured that his former international manager Klinsmann could attempt to bring him to Bayern in time for the start of the next Bundesliga season.
Klinsmann put his reputation on the line when choosing the Arsenal man as his first choice for the 2006 World Cup over veteran keeper Oliver Kahn and Lehmann has refused to rule out linking up with his former mentor again.
