Synopsis
Han Da Jin is an inspired pilot who tragically loses both of her parents after graduating from a prestigious pilot school in the US. She looses her faith in flying, but finds a reason to fly again to make her father proud. Kim Yoon Sung was Han Da Jin's fathers student and became a pilot under his studies, but after he tragically causes Han Da Jin's mother to die on the flight from Korea to San Francisco he loses faith in flying as well. Kim Yoon Sung finds his desire to fly again and turns out to be a successful captain. Han Da Jin and Kim Yoon Sung start to work together as captain and co-pilot, but Han Da Jin's way to become a successful captain is not guaranteed as Kim Yoon Sung wants to teach her the basics from the start. Also on the way of Han Da Jin's success is Kang Dong Soo, a flight tower manager who first brings the not pretty side in Han Da Jin.

Cuba nak couple semula dgn Kapten kim tp Kapten Kim tak nak sbb dia kata setiap kali dia tgk muka manager Choi dia teringat kejadian 7 thn lepas dan dia takkan boleh maafkan diri dia sendiri.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon gets cast in new drama, “Fly Again”




MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon has landed a role in the upcoming SBS drama, ‘Fly Again‘!

Lee Joon will be playing the role of an airport tower controller named ‘Kang Dong Soo‘, who has an attitude but is actually kind once you get to know him better. He’ll be working with actress Goo Hye Sun, who’ll be playing ‘Han Da Jin‘, a female assistant pilot battling her way to become an official pilot.

This project was produced by Joo Dong Min, and its script was written by Jang Na Young. If all goes according to plan, the drama will air its first episode next year in January.

유선은 16일 TV리포트와의 인터뷰에서 “2년 만에 드라마로 복귀를 하게 됐다. 하지만 부담감 보다는 반갑고 설레는 마음이 크다”고 말했다.

이어 그녀는 “올해만 영화를 세 편 찍었다. 항상 영화를 개봉한 후 관객들과 만나, 그 기다림이 길었는데 드라마는 대중들의 반응을 곧바로 느낄 수 있어서 좋다”며 “최근 시청자의 입장에서 드라마를 보면서 ‘나도 드라마를 하고 싶다’는 생각을 하곤 했다. 그래서 2년만에 복귀작 '플라이 어게인'에 대한 기대감이 크다”고 설명했다.

유선은 ‘플라이 어게인’에서 승무원 사무장인 최지원 역을 맡았다. 최지원이 승무원 3년차 시절 당시 파리행 비행기에서 그녀의 실수로 한 산모가 죽고, 설상가상 산모의 아기는 신생아 패혈증에 걸린다는 내용을 담고 있다. This part describes the plot: When Choi JiWon had been at her post as the manager of the crew for three years, a tragedy occurs on the plane en route to Paris.A woman who just delivered a baby dies and on top of that the dead woman's baby is infected by blood poisoning.  

죄책감과 미안함으로 살아가던 최지원은 승무원 사무장으로 돌아와 산모의 딸이자 부조종사인 한다진을 만나게 되고, 그녀를 파일럿이 되게 도와주는 조력자 역할을 하게 된다. Choi JiWon lives in guilt until she returns to her duty as the manager of the crew. Then she meets the daughter of the dead woman. Her name is Han DaJin and she is an assistant pilot. (But if that baby who became infected with blood poisoning lived, GHS should only be 7 years old....so, that dead woman must have had another daughter??)

유선은 “최지원은 다진이와 당당하게 맞서면서도 그녀를 강하고 담력 있는 파일럿이 되게 도와준다. 표면적으로는 날카로워 보이지만 내면은 깊은 키다리 아저씨 같은 역이다”며 “이런 모습이 풍성하고 매력적이게 느껴져 이 작품을 선택하게 됐다”고 밝혔다.

Choi JiWon meets DaJin in an imposing and authoritative ways and helps Da Jin become a tough and courageous pilot. Choi JiWon may be cold and sharp on the outside but she is actually like "daddy long legs". Such a role made Yoo Sun take the part in Fly Again.

여주인공 한다진 역으로는 구혜선이 낙점됐으며, 두 사람과 멜로라인을 형성할 남자주인공은 아직 확정되지 않았다.

For the role of Han DaJin, GHS has been chosen. As of yet, male star has not been cast.

한편, ‘플라이 어게인’은 ‘뿌리깊은 나무’ 후속으로 12월 첫 방송된다.

Ji Jin-hee joins Gu Hye-sun in aviation drama

Ji Jin-hee (Dong Yi, The Man Who Can’t Marry) is returning to SBS with a drama titled Take Care of Us, Captain, in which he plays a skilled and perfectionist pilot opposite Gu Hye-sun (The Musical), his co-pilot and love interest.

The drama was formerly called Fly Again, which was a smoother-sounding title but also perhaps more generic-sounding. I think I’m okay with the new title, though it translates somewhat awkwardly into English.

The show’s calling itself “Korea’s first aviation drama,” which seems to be forgetting that spy-airport-terrorism-romance-action mishmash, Air City — or maybe they’re hoping we all forget that too. True, Air City was more about the airport than flying, which is no surprise since it was basically a show commissioned to commemorate Incheon International Airport itself. So weird. What were you thinking, Lee Jung-jae and Choi Ji-woo?

But I digress. Take Care of Us, Captain spins Ji Jin-hee into the opposite direction of his warm and cheerful portrayal of King Sukjong from Dong Yi. Ji will be going for “cool-headed charisma” instead as pilot Kim Yoon-seok, the captain of a passenger plane. The drama weaves in the stories of the numerous passengers he’s responsible for, as well as the various crewmen, customs officers, repair staff, and other employees he’ll come into contact with regularly.

So, a little bit like Air City, but with a less bombastic premise (no spies or international intrigue) and more focus on the people’s relationships. It could work (I’m thinking US sitcom Wings), or it could be boring as all get-out. Alas, I don’t think it’s going for funny, with the heroine’s relationship to her rival described as a “melo storyline.”

Gu Hye-sun

Playing that romantic rival in a complicated relationship is Yoo Sun, who played Bok-shil (aka Bokifer) in the heartwarming family comedy Sons of Sol Pharmacy. She’ll take the role of the leader of the flight crew, and occupies one of the legs (I assume the impotent one) of the main love triangle featuring  Ji Jin-hee and Gu Hye-sun. Back in her earlier days, she’d made an in-flight mistake that caused a young mother’s death, and led to the infant contracting blood poisoning. Haunted by her guilty conscience, she had helped the daughter of that woman become a pilot, who grows up to be the airline co-pilot (Gu Hye-sun). Okay, let me exchange impotent for most awkward ever.

Also in the cast is Honey Lee — gukak musician, Seoul National University grad, former Miss Korea, and musical actress — who takes another stab at drama acting (after Pasta and Partner) as the director of the airline.

Take Care of Us, Captain plans to begin filming in November, and is tentatively set for a January broadcast. It’ll take up the Wednesday-Thursday slot on SBS following Tree With Deep Roots.

Photos from 1st script reading for new SBS TV series



Photographs of the first script reading for an upcoming SBS TV series have been revealed.

A press release by the show's promoter The J Story on Friday unveiled  photos of the main cast Ku Hye-sun, Ji Jin-hee, Lee Chun-hee, Yoo Sun  and Honey Lee taking part in the session for aviation drama "Please,  Captain" (translated title) held in Seoul on October 27.

An official with production company Eyagi 365 said in the statement,  "The production staff was really surprised to see how in tune the actors  were with their characters and we have high expectations for the  series."

"Please, Captain," helmed by Joo Dong-min and written by scenarist Jung  Na-myung, tells the story of pilots, flight attendants and crew members  that work at an airport.

The show is set to take over the Wednesday and Thursday night primetime  lineup starting January 4 after current series "Deep Rooted Tree"  finishes its run.

That day, participants include: GHS, Ji JinHee, Yoo Sun, Lee Chun Hee, Lee Hanni, etc. The actors were able to carry out without obstacles and with much enthusiasm not only the difficult air navigation terms but also the professional English conversations.



Yoo Sun, Lee ChunHee and Lee Hani also showed the total understanding of their characters throughout the reading.



The drama will on air Jan 4th and it is the story of the passion and ambition of an assistant pilot becoming a pilot.

Lee Chunhee to replace MBLAQ's Lee Joon in the drama "Please, Captain"



Actor Lee Chunhee will replace MBLAQ's Lee Joon in an upcoming drama series on SBS. The show's promoter announced today that Lee Chunhee will take on the role of Kang Dongsoo, an air traffic controller in the new series "Please, Captain".

When asked about the role, Lee Chunhee expressed his desire to participate in the project as it will be the first time a Korean drama will be based on aviation. He also revealed that he and the rest of the cast are currently studying hard for the project.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Lee Chunhee stepped into a role originally offered to MBLAQ's Lee Joon. Lee Joon was originally casted for the drama but had to step down due to conflicts with the schedule.

A representative from J.Tune Camp also stated, "We felt that Lee Joon's singing activities are his priority right now since he will be quite busy visiting various countries overseas till the end of the year."

"Please, Captain" will also feature Ji Jinhee, Goo Hyesun, Yoosun and will tell the everyday stories of pilots, flight attendants and crew members that work in an airport. Filming is set to start this November as the show will replace "Deep Rooted Tree" when it ends.

Cast of SBS' upcoming TV series "Please, Captain" [Eyagi 365]      

The cast of upcoming SBS TV series, mainly Ji Jin-hee, Ku Hye-sun and Lee Chun-hee, began shooting the show over the weekend.

A press release by the show's promoter The J Story on Tuesday revealed  several photographs of Ji, Ku and Lee on the set in Incheon, South Korea  for the first shoot of new aviation drama "Please, Captain" (tentative  title) set to air January of next year.

"I was able to engage myself in my character because I felt comfortable  at the preschool. I also felt the energy from the children and my  surroundings," Ku was quoted as saying on shooting her first scene at a  preschool with child actress So-won who plays her younger sister in  "Captain."

Meanwhile, Ji explained that he spoke with the director on several  occasions before his first shoot as Kim Yoon-sung, who is a captain of  an aircraft.  

"Captain," also starring Yoo Sun and Honey Lee, tells the story of a  female co-pilot that later becomes the captain of an airplane.

The show, helmed by Joo Dong-min and written by scenarist Jung Na-myung,  will air every Wednesday and Thursday night starting January 4.

배우 션 리차드가 SBS ‘뿌리깊은 나무’의 후속작으로 편성된‘부탁해요 캡틴’(가제)에 캐스팅 됐다.


‘부탁해요 캡틴’(가제)은 지진희-구혜선이 출연해 열정과 패기로 똘똘 뭉친 부조종사가 파일럿으로 성장하는 이야기로 파일럿들의 사랑과 우정을 그린다.


극중 션 리차드는 지진희의 동료인 외국인 기장의 역할로 출연하며 파일럿들이 성장해가는 이야기를 더욱 풍성하게 만들어줄 예정이다.

션 리차드는 드라마 ‘제중원’에서 제중원의 초대원장 ‘알렌’역으로 출연해 신인답지 않은 능숙한 연기력으로 대중들의 시선을 사로  잡았다. 또한, ‘아테나: 전쟁의 여신’에서는 차승원의 충직한 부하로써 킬러 본색을 보였던 앤디 역으로 활약해 주목 받았다.

A Korean-American actor named Sean Richard Dulake has been cast to work  with Ji-Jin Hee and GHS. (This time, GHS's name is definitely in.) He  plays Ji JInHee's colleague and also a foreign pilot. His casting would  contribute towards making the story of CAPTAIN even more full and rich.  An actor who can speak English and Korean fluently was requred for this  role. Richard already received much praise for his acting work in Athena  and in JaeJoongWon. (Sorry I could not bring over his pix but he was  born in Korea to Korean mother and British father but grew up in United  States--his birthday is June 9, 1984.)
