Greetings everyone!

I just bought a Canon EOS 600D few months back.
Though not considered an expert photographer, the love and interest that I have for photoshooting is amazing.

Just to share with you my blog, hoping to share the settings i've used and improve my skills at the same time.

Please pay a visit and support my new hobby! .
Comments, critiques and advise are most welcome!

saya setuju dengan blings, your model is sweet

1. framing the scene is important, two-third rule is good. ataupun kau boleh crop kemudian.
2. apa signifikan tempat peranginan yang kau pergi itu? the background doesn't tells except for the balai bomba.
3. kalau the sweet model is your focus, lebih baik guna bigger aperture.
4. 75 mm dah cukup baik untuk portraiture, tapi mungkin bigger aperture can be better

two cents

Thanks Blingblings and Kitul!
I really appreciate the comments and guidance I received!
Kitul,
1. Do you mean rule of third? ok will improve on that. Practice more dulu...

2. I once study that bigger aperture is better used for landscape. So if that's the case, tak semestinya kan? Besok i will go to Melaka and will snap some pics... will post some pics up here and see whether I get wat u mean.

ya betul... rule of thirds ...
i see the glass as half full, others see it as half empty

bigger aperture means smaller f number... don't be mistaken

for portraiture, lesser DoF, hence bigger aperture @ smaller f number
for lanscape, more DoF, hence smaller aperture @ bigger f number

three cents

Ok skrg share satu pic dari Melaka. Raining Melaka.

Program : Aperture Priority / Av
F-stop : f/4.5

Focal length : 35mm
ISO Speed : 200
White Balance : Daylight
Shutter Speed : 1/40 sec

I was advised to list out the shutter speed as well. This will enable people to advise me whether to +/- EV wor...

Tapi soalan saya, bukan ke bila kita guna Aperture Mode, tu Shutter speed ada lah auto set punya?
Need advise on this.

Any advise on the pic?
1. I rase i tak apply tu rules of third la..
2. Will it be over expose this time?

eer firstly i takde dslr.... 2nd i bukan sifu...

tapi ape yang saya baca tak kisah pon kalau tak apply rule of third... tak semua object or gambar boleh buat rule of third... over expose lak tak semestinyer over tu tak cantik dan sebaliknyer... tapi try to apply those the rule before we can break the rule... huhuhuh

Hi...

FC kena beware when using Av (aperture Value - canon) or A (aperture Priority - nikon) at place with LOW LIGHT. Ur lens (I assumed canon kitlens II - 18-135mm right?) whenever zoom to 35mm, max aperture can be use is f/4.5; or you can get wider than this with 24mm setting or 18mm setting...but FC punya point of view will be different lorr..?

so, whenever using Av... FC already set aperture to f/4.5 rite... so, from the calculation done by the camera... it set shutter speed to 1/40s...which is under minimum shutter speed needed to make sure pict not blur (aasuming focusing is correct) which is minimum of 1/60s <--- do go below this. In Av mode, to avoid this... increase ur ISO value..u're using ISO 200... maybe u can use like ISO 320 or maybe above to get a faster shutter speed value.

..additional, maybe FC can use Shade WB for a nice white balance...unless u're shooting in RAW format, which enable u to set the WB later in post processing...
