OK about that US having WMD while the other countries cant...Let's say one day the US just stripped off their WMD which includes nuclear weapons..Do u seriously think that US enemies will just forg ...

When they strip them off, then you can say. Can't judge now too early. However, if they stop, most of the organisation will, if not all. At least, most of the problem will be solved. Must be fair. if US doesn't want others to have WMD, US themselves must not have. You cannot practise double standards.

Not just the US but the rest of the world as well. WMD actually kept peace during the cold war. But the world, including Msia does not want its proliferation.

Aren't those countries where Christians are majority... the leaders themselves are Christians aren't they?

Imagine if these countries were muslim countries... The media will be buzzing with news... and Some Fanatic Muslim... somewhere... will be crying foul and start destroying some building or something like that... which ends in killing more innocent people... in some irrelevant place. :gila:

Officials: Group tying self to blasts may not be real
By Bryan Bender
and Farah Stockman, Globe Staff, 3/13/2004

WASHINGTON -- A group purporting to be part of Al Qaeda that claimed responsibility for the Madrid train bombings and warned of a looming attack on the United States seems to be a phantom organization, according to US intelligence officials and terrorism specialists.

http://www.boston.com/news/natio ... ts_may_not_be_real/

Those bombings and alleged threats are nothing but distractions for US and its allies to invade other countries. Though these countries are christian countries (like faithealer said), but what do US care? They don't care. Do U care they invaded christian countries? U should be the first persons in this forum to condemn US and its allies. But U did not. Which means that your main focus is on muslim alleged terrorism. And U forgot what U are here for, and what it means to be a christian. That is to champion the cause of your religion and protect its believers. But what do U do? Never have I seen dumbey, faithealer or truth-8 condemn US atrocities in christian countries. Because U guys are sooo busy attacking Islam and muslims.

These ruthless people don't care whether they invade christian or muslim countries. All they want is gas and oil. Yes, these countries have lots of oil.

Troops ring 'top al-Qaeda figure'
Pakistani troops say they have surrounded a senior al-Qaeda leader close to the Afghan border and are preparing to move in within hours.
President Pervez Musharraf said his troops appeared to have ringed a "high-value target" after fierce resistance in the remote South Waziristan region.

Other reports quote military officials saying they believe it to be al-Qaeda's Egyptian number two, Ayman al-Zawahri.

Villagers have been ordered to evacuate an area around the town of Wana.

Thousands of troops backed by helicopter gunships were deployed in the region on Thursday morning and came under heavy attack from militants.

President Musharraf told the US television network CNN that the extent of the resistance suggested the seniority of the trapped militant, but he would not be drawn on who it might be.

"It would just be a guess," he said, when asked to name the possible suspect.

In Washington, defence officials are urging caution.

BBC Pentagon correspondent Nick Childs says they have been down this road too many times before, only to be disappointed.

The area being surrounded is 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) and there is a chance the militants could slip away during the night, says Frank Gardner, the BBC's security correspondent.

If Mr Zawahri was captured, he adds, it would be a major blow to the militant network founded by Osama Bin Laden.

Key figure

Egyptian in origin, Mr Zawahri is believed to serve as Bin Laden's spiritual adviser and doctor. He is also the architect of the al-Qaeda ideology.

In 1998, he was the second of five signatories to Bin Laden's "fatwa" calling for attacks against US troops and civilians.

He was a key figure in the Egyptian Islamic Jihad group, which later merged with al-Qaeda.

Mr Zawahri has appeared alongside Bin Laden in al-Qaeda videotapes released since the 11 September 2001 attacks in the US.

He has been indicted in the US for his role in the 1998 American embassy bombings in Africa, and was sentenced to death in Egypt in absentia for his activities with the Islamic Jihad group in the 1990s.

Biggest operation

The Pakistani operation is being described as the biggest since the hunt for Bin Laden and his associates started in the area more than two years ago.

A senior security official said the authorities had laid a complete siege of a large area near Wana and would be going in with a big force in early on Friday.
He said if any senior al-Qaeda leader was among the militants, the security forces would make sure he did not escape.

Residents in the villages around Wana have been asked to move away from the area.

South Waziristan with its mass of mountains and hills has been cited many times as the most likely hideout of Bin Laden and al-Qaeda elements.

Fifteen Pakistani soldiers died there in clashes on Tuesday and 24 militants, thought to be local tribesmen or al-Qaeda suspects, were also killed.

Meanwhile US troops are continuing their operations against Taleban fighters in Afghanistan.

On Thursday two American soldiers were killed and two wounded in a clash in the central province of Oruzgan, south of Kabul.

Palestinians in Gaza gun battle
At least one person has been killed and 17 others injured in a gun battle between Palestinian police and Hamas militants in Gaza City.
Witnesses and paramedics said the trouble began after the police ordered a car with two men to stop.

The men opened fire and threw grenades at the security agents, triggering the shooting exchange, the witnesses said.

The Palestinian authorities condemned what they called a senseless attack by the militants.

Both the authorities and militant groups appear to be trying to exert their influence in the run up to the expected Israeli withdrawal from the territory, the BBC's David Chazan in Gaza says.

The militants see the pullout plan as a victory for the Palestinian uprising, or intifada, but the Israelis are determined to take tough action against the militants before they leave, our correspondent adds.

The incident came only hours after Israeli air strikes on the territory in which four Palestinians were killed and several others injured.

Gaza shootout

The clashes broke out near the Palestinian military intelligence service's headquarters in Gaza City after the car with the militants had been requested to stop for an identity check, Palestinian officials said.

"The passengers threw three grenades at the patrol, killing one bystander," a Palestinian official told the AFP news agency.

During the exchange of fire, 17 people were injured, most of them Palestinian policemen, sources at a local hospital said.

Many of those injured were reportedly members of security forces under the leadership of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's cousin, Moussa Arafat.

The Palestinian official said the preliminary findings showed the gunmen were members of the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.

The police sealed off the area as they conducted a search for the militants.

Which goes to show that there are conflicting news regarding Qaeda's existence and alleged terrorisms, though some people remain sure that they exist and are responsible for terrorisms. Is it now high time for real justice to take place, and let people be innocent until proven guilty, instead of the other way round?

You are wrong!!!!!!!!!! They do not support terrorism, but their bretherens in Palestine and in other parts of the world are not as fortunate as muslims in Malaysia and somewhere near here. They are being denounced their rights and many more. Their leaders of their countries are not doing much to change their peoples' fate due to their fear or if not fear, ampu, pat back side of the US!!! Why? Either fear it, or one to gain something out of it.

Sorry to offend U, deb, but Qaeda is a myth. What we know about them is thru' video tapes, letters and anonymous emails. Anybody could have made them. Even mossads and CIA.

What terrorism?
When a man comes to my house and kicks me out, beat me, etc etc and I try to fight back, thats terrorism? When a man asks for his rights to be recognized, thats terrorism?

Why don't you call the US a terrorist for killing 3 million vitnames?
Why don't you call the US a terrorist for droping to atomic bombs on Japan although the war was over?
Why don't you call the US a terrorist for destroying North Korea?

Why is their actions justified and ours is not? Why can they kill us and we can't do anything about it?

Buddhism teaches peace and non-killing. That is why the Buddha teaches all his followers to eat pure food(example vagetarian). It is not right to kill a creature. Buddha teaches universal compassion.

Though I have not killed a fellow human being, I am far from near perfect.

ALso, many do not support terrorism, so do not make baseless accusation.
