Malaysia Beats Sri Lanka In Chennai Beach Volleyball

CHENNAI, July 18 (Bernama) -- In the inaugural beach volleyball tournament in India, Malaysian women chalked up their first win against the Sri Lankans in the Chennai Challenger tourney here last night.

The newly formed energetic Malaysian pair of Beh Shun Thing and M. Iswari trounced the Sri Lankan pair of Gunasinghe and Sujeewa in straight sets 21-10 and 21-14, taking only 30 minutes to wrap up the game.

"We have played the Sri Lankans before, so we know their style and how to play with them competitively. Hopefully, we will reach the final," Beh told Bernama after the game.

In another game, Austrian pair Elisabeth Klopf and Gabriela Pemmer outclassed India's Kanaka and Latha 21-8, 21-3. In their second match tonight, the Malaysians face the Austrians.

Bush tunjuk aksi nakal di Beijing

GEORGE W. Bush menepuk belakang Misty May-Treanor kelmarin.

"AS!" laung para pemain dengan bersemangat.

"Minggu hadapan saya menjalani latihan seperti biasa.
