Then, the King and the Queen went on a sightseeing tour with Marc Angel, President of Luxembourg City Tourist Office. n October 16, 2019, Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie of Luxembourg attended the "Medical Innovation, bringing together the worlds of academia, innovation and healthcare" academic seminar, held at Campus Belval in Esch-sur-Alzette. Afterwards, Queen Mathilde and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie visited Learning center in Campus Belval.
King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and Grand Duke Henri visited the Biodiversum natural sciences center. Then, they visited the Schengen European Center. Afterwards, the King and Queen and the Grand Duke went on a cruise and had a lunch on the Moselle aboard the ship M.S. Princess Marie-Astrid. Then, the King and Queen and the Grand Duke went to Remich to discover the Viti-Vinicole Institute.
On October 25, Friday, Belgian Crown Princess Elisabeth will celebrate her 18th birthday. On the occasion of that birthday, new photos of the Crown Princess were released yesterday.
Belgian Crown Princess Elisabeth turned 18 today. That means, the Crown Princess, who is presumptive heir to the throne, will be her father's deputy after her 18th birthday and thus, she might act as Regent for him in case of illness or other hindrances. That important day was celebrated by the Royal family with an event held at the Throne Room of the Royal Palace in Brussels.

On November 21, 2019, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the 71st Bambi Awards at Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, Germany and she received the German Bambi Award for Charity.
