KEVIN Keegan says that he still hopes to bring in four or five topquality players during the summer but has warned that the Magpies willnot get "every shell on the beach".
United have again been linked with a host of names this week,and when asked at his pre-match conference ahead of the Chelsea game ifhe was any closer to bringing new faces to Tyneside, the Toon bossresponded in typically light-hearted fashion.
"Yeah, here they are," he joked, pointing to two empty seats either side of him.
"This one, he's a player, he's terrific, watch out for him.
"But this one (pointing to his other side), I'm not too sure about, I'm taking a chance with him!"
But, when asked if he was disappointed to miss out on reportedtarget Luka Modric, who has agreed to join Spurs, Keegan said: "We arenot going to get all the shells on the beach.
"Modric is a player that most of the top teams in Europe would have liked and good luck to Spurs if they've got him.
"Now we have to go and look at our list and see who else is on there that we would like.
"I'd like to bring in four or five, but the first you'll know about them is when we have got them here and signed for the club."
