Juventus made up for their shock loss at Brescia by extending their lead at the top of Serie B by disposing of Treviso. A Raffaele Palladino goal in the 71st minute was enough for the Old Lady to move three points clear of Napoli after their draw against Vicenza.

Serie B: Palladino-show As Juve Crush Triestina
A hat-trick by the young forward allowed the Bianconeri to beat their opponents 5-1 on Monday evening to extend the Old Lady's lead at the top of the standings to six points over Napoli.
Juventus made a giant step forward towards promotion, as the Bianconeri thrashed Triestina 5-1 at the Olimpico stadium on Monday evening to consolidate the top spot of the Serie B standings with 55 points from 28 matches played.
Raffaele Palladino was the hero of the night as he scored a hat-trick, however surprisingly enough it was the visitors who opened the score when Piovaccari shot past Buffon from close range after the Italian international goalkeeper had parried a shot by Peana in the 7th minute.
It only took the Bianconeri one minute to equalize as Balzaretti crossed from the right and Camoranesi headed in for the 1-1. Palladino's show started in the 27th minute as the attacker ran away on a counter attack, dribbled past the defenders and goalkeeper before sliding the ball in the net.
In injury time of the first half, Paro ran on the right hand side and his cross was met by Palladino who made it 3-1 before half time. The young forward scored his personal hat-trick in the 60th minute when assisted by Del Piero he made it 4-1 for Juventus.
Bojinov substituted Palladino late in the game and the Bulgarian striker joined the goal fest as he headed in a Nedved cross in the 81st minute.
This win paves the way for the Old Lady towards a quick return to Serie A despite receiving many criticisms in the past weeks for some unexpected negative results |
